Rules, Regulations, Mandate of R.I.A. Shop Guilds

Upon the iii day of Septebre, A.D. MM, the F.M. declared the following Rules, Regulations, Outline, and Mandate thereof as to Shop Guilds and shops by R.I.A., to set forth their duties, limitations, restricitons, endorsement, and support by R.I.A.

These are Mandatory Mandated Provisions for these Shop Guilds, and any R.I.A. shop operating within these Shop Guilds: Guild of Arcane Arts (A.K.A. Academy of Magi), Society of Clothiers, Society of Cooks and Chefs, Order of Engineers, Guild of Tanners, Carpenters' Guild, Maritime Guild, Merchants' Association, League of Rangers, Society of Smiths.

 The Administration Committee, Guild Master, and Forum Master reserve the sole right to abolish/create any Shop Guild/shop at their own discretion, but not without the express and verified approval of the Forum Master.

 An Agent must be of at least a Fifth Degree Agent status before applying to be a Shopkeeper.

 Shopkeepers must sustain a status of at least a Fifth Degree Agent during their second status as Shopkeeper.

 Each Shop Guild and shop shall be lent Three Hundred Gold Pieces (300.00 GP) to start, and shall be lent no money thereafter unless R.I.A. is directed by the Shop Guild Committee to do so.

 Each Three Hundred Gold Pieces lent to each Shop Guild and shop stands as a loan and must be repaid within six months of the start of the loan, upon demand of the Shop Guild Committee, and/or when the Shop Guild or Shopkeeper has made 1,300 GP, whichever comes first. Any shopkeeper who abandons or closes a shop must repay his loan with 7% monthly accrued interest or suffer disavowment, hit list, Judicial Response, and/or other disciplinary action. Furthermore, any shop destroyed or partially damaged by direct or indirect damages incurred from an enemy or Agent of R.I.A. shall be met with top priority of the Shop Guild Committee in review thereof. Natural disaster is not a factor in the condition of shops.

 Each Shop Guild shall charge a Five Hundred Gold Piece (500.00 GP) membership fee to each new member.

 Any member of a Shop Guild may withdraw their Five Hundred Gold Piece deposit any time they choose after two months of the deposit, and thereby render their membership null and void, having no benefits from the respective Shop Guild.

 Each Shop Guild shall be regulated by the Shop Guild Committee, and each Shop Guild shall obey the legislation set forth regarding them by the Shop Guild Committee.

 Every Shop Guild, shopkeeper, or any other Agent affiliated with Shop Guilds or shops must adhere to the R.I.A. standard Rules and Regulations. This document is an appendment, and does NOT render void the Standard R&R.

 Once an Agent obtains membership in one of the specified Shop Guilds, he/she shall receive a 10%-20% discount on all items in shops belonging to the Shop Guild he/she has joined, the exact discount being at the discretion of the shopkeeper and to be fixed for one month at each time of setting. (Important: Shopkeepers must provide at least a 10% discount on all items, and may provide a maximum discount of 20%)

 Any creature/entity that is not an Agent of R.I.A. is prohibited from receiving a discount in any shop, unless said creature/entity is the member of an Allied Guild, or a Special Order has been made and confirmed by the Shop Guild Committee.

 Any R.I.A. Agent is free to buy memberships at more than one Shop Guild.

 Benefits from one Shop Guild do not apply to shops in a different Shop Guild or any shop different Shop Guilds maintain.

 Each shopkeeper shall make a 10% commission on every item sold, and further earnings from shopkeeping is prohibited, except assistants.

 Shopkeepers may employ at their discretion a maximum of 2 assistants, each assistant's pay is 5% of each item price after shopkeeper commision.

 Each active Agent serving as a shopkeeper shall earn his/her Agent Salary per his/her status in R.I.A. and shall not be granted any more liberties than would an Agent of equal status.

 Any other profit made from any item other than the commission of the respective shopkeeper and his assistant(s) shall be divided equally between the respective Shop Guild, and the other half of the profit shall go to the R.I.A. account as directed jointly by the Shop Guild Committee and the Treasury.

 Any creature/entity that is not an Agent of R.I.A. is allowed to buy from any shopkeeper from the shopkeeper's shop.

 Any and all creatures/entities that are not Agents of R.I.A. are prohibited from becoming a member of any of the Shop Guilds.

 The intent of the Shop Guilds is to provide primary services and distribution of goods to Agents of R.I.A., and secondarily, non-Agents.

 Each respective Shop Guild shall oversee its shops, and collect the moneys made from each shop within the first week of each month, minus the 10% shopkeeper commission, maximum of 10% assistant pay after of difference from shopkeeper commission, and 50% of the remaining shall go to the respective Shop Guild, and the respective Shop Guild shall transfer all then remaining moneys to the Shop Guild Committee to review and process to the Treasury.

 Let it known that the terminology used herein is as follows as with regard to possible confusion: shop-a specialized shop ran by a shopkeeper that sells goods or services and reports all activities to its respective Shop Guild. Shop Guild-main embodiment and unity of similar shops as Mandated by R.I.A. Agent-Any and all creatures/entities employed by R.I.A. serving a title as is listed elsewhere, notably between First Degree Agent and Forum Master, and/or Special Status Agent, including BLACKOPS and PSYOPS Projects.

 It is the responsibility of the Shop Guild to finance surplus in time of great demand of their particular shops, and to supply each shop money earned from memberships and/or sales as appropriate and must be met with review and approval from the Shop Guild Committee before its occurance.

 The Guild of Arcane Arts (A.K.A. Academy of Magi) is to be comprised of Alchemists and Mages.

 The Society of Clothiers is to be comprised of Tailors and Weavers.

 The Society of Cooks and Chefs is to be comprised of Cooks and Chefs.

 The Order of Engineers is to be comprised of Tinkers and Engineers.

 The Guild of Tanners is to be comprised of Tanners and Hidestraders.

 The Carpenters' Guild is to be comprised of Carpenters.

 The Maritime Guild is to be comprised of Fishermen, Sailors, Mapmakers, and Shipwrights.

 The Merchants' Association is to be comprised of Merchants, Innkeepers, Tavernkeepers, Jewelers, and Provisioners.

 The League of Rangers is to be comprised of Bowyers, Animal Trainers, and Rangers.

 The Society of Smiths is to be comprised of Blacksmiths and Weaponsmiths.

 The anticipated growth and span of each of these Shop Guilds is as follows, greatest to least:

  1. Guild of Arcane Arts
  2. Merchants' Association
  3. Society of Smiths
  4. Society of Cooks and Chefs
  5. Order of Engineers
  6. Society of Clothiers
  7. League of Rangers
  8. Maritime Guild

(Note: These are not outstanding ranks, but anticipated sizes from greatest to least, as per coverage, necessity, and finance)

 Each Shop Guild's shops shall sell the items specified in their respective Shop Guild on the Shop Inventories page, and are prohibited from selling items from a Shop Guild other than their own. (A link is provided below.)

 Any Shop Guild or shopkeeper may hold an account with R.I.A. aside from any Agent accounts they may have and earn a 7% monthly interest from all moneys within said account, and is limited to one per Shop Guild or shopkeeper.

 A shop may be the member of a maximum of three (3) Shop Guilds at any one time.

 If an Agent wishes to become a shopkeeper and does not wish to be supported by the respective Shop Guild, it may apply for Independent Shopdom with the Shop Guild Committee, and may be eligible for a Three Hundred Gold Piece (300.00 GP) loan, pending review and approval.

 It is hereby mandated that the aforesaid Shop Guilds and those shops operating underthem to be created, and exist, as per these terms.
