November 10, 2001.(2:46 P.M.) I'm in a cybercafe somewhere in Mandaluyong. XD. I wanted to blog, even if the entry that I'll post is only three or four sentences long. I think that I qualify as a rabid blogger. I just took the "Are You Blogworthy?" quiz, and I scored a whopping 52%. According to the quiz, I'm the best kind of weblogger to be, coz even though I blog frequently, I stil have a social life worth living. XD. Well, gotta go, mom is getting antsy and wants to go look at more CD's. Sayonara! November 1, 2001. (10:52 A.M.) It's good to be back home, minna! Although I do miss Baguio, and the routine we had to follow everyday, as well as the cute guys. XD. The con diary will be up in the next couple of days, so if anyone wants to read about what happened to me and mine up in the Summer Capital of the Philippines, wait for the con diary. FF.Net is back up! I like their new design a lot better, although it's made for those with slightly bigger resolutions. But who cares as long as they're up and running again? Now the only thing that I want to have back up is TKTV - Charmed. It's one of the best Charmed websites out there, and it would be such a shame if it went down permanently. I went there again this morning, and I got a start - up page that said they experienced some hardware failure or something. *shrugs* Oh well. I wanna WRITE, dammit! I feel like working on a story, a poem, or an essay. I want to write something to upload to my FF.Net page, which at this moment is gathering virtual dust. The last time I uploaded soemthing to it was back in Febuary. Eeyoo. Just wait for the con diary, peeps. It'll be up soon. October 20, 2001. (12:02 N.T.) Yes! *wipes his forehead in manner of relieved baseball player who just barely made it to home plate in time* I made it! I'm in - I finally get to go to the convention! Well, I already knew that yesterday, but seeing the teachers take my check and add my name to the list and talking with my fellow delegates about things to bring and other con - related things really brings the reality of the situation home to me. I'm still mad at my dad - but I'm not going to blog more about it; it'll just ruin my nice, lovely day. I'm thinking of making a "con diary" and post it here. It'll be a chronicle of the events of the convention, but at the same time an extension of my blog. I'm going to have to make a special notebook for that - or maybe write it on some notepaper or whatever I can find at the Teachers' Camp. The place where we're supposed to be staying, Teacher's Camp, is supposed to be all - haunted like. There are rumors going around that in the hall or building where my delegation is supposed to be staying, the White Hall, has a mirror that turns your reflection into that of a demon's. And this bridge, called "Lambingan Bridge" (For the tagalog - deficient, Lambingan means to share sweet moments with your special someone.) is supposed to be haunted by the ghosts of a pair of lovers who committed suicide. *shudders in anticipation* I cannot wait for it to begin! October 19, 2001. (8:54 P.M.) My dad is a world - class f****r. Y'see, by a totally weird twist of fate, I got picked to join this group of students who get sent to Baguio (popular vacation spot in the Phils) every year for this convention sponsored by CMLI. I have been trying my darndest best to get on the list of students who get to go to said convention for two years now. I only just made it today. And the students who get to go on this trip are the cream of the crop. So in a way, getting drafted to join them makes me part of the cream of the crop, too. XD. And instead of being all proud, in a typical, sitcom - fatherly kinda way, he yelled at me and flat - out refused to give me the 7,300 pesos I need for the convention. What kind of a father is that? So I was forced to look for alternative ways to scrounge up money. And when my mom texted all of her friends to see if they could help us, all of them came to the rescue, offering various amounts of money - even my dentist came forward to offer 1,000 pesos. I was flabbergasted. These people, who are not related to me in any way, are offering money when my own father refuses to do so. This proves that there IS still hope for humanity. So now the money is all set and ready to go. But I still can't believe the way my dad reacted to the whole thing. He is so shallow. He refuses to give me the cash I need to go to the con, and he refuses to lend our pregnant ex (sorta) - maid money so she can settle her hospital bills. And you know what his excuse was? "I'm sorry, but I don't have any cash on me right now". Please. *snorts* If you don;t have any cash on you, how were you able to buy a new car? Like I said, a world class f****r.
