Wicca is often criticized and misunderstood, often by dogmatic christians and politicians looking for an angle. The name of Wicca has been dragged through the mud for many years. Only now are we starting to make ground with the people who for many simple dismissed us as "satan worshippers." This could not be further from the truth. I hope to, with this page to enlighten people of the truth about Wicca, a beautiful, spiritual religion that, unlike most, asks for nothing of it's practioners but pure and simple respect of all things. No guilt and repention, no "come every week or you're damned for all eternity," Wicca is a tradition that you carry with you throughout you're life. It comes from within. All our lifes are based on two simple priciples: harm none and all that you do will come back times three, meaning that if you do kind and helpful things then you will be thusly rewarded, however, if you choose to be cruel and destructive then that negetivity will come back to you. This is why a true Wiccan would never will harm on another. It would affect them in a negative manner.

What is Wicca?
Wicca is a religion of enlightenment through Goddess-worship with the use of white-magick. It is an eclectic religion that does not wish to convert, conform, or control. Wicca is one of the few religions that accepts other religions and does not claim to be the one true religion for everybody. We are not anti-Christian, but are not bound by the constraints of Christianity. Wicca embraces individuality, creativity, and intellectual growth. Wicca is also a celebration of life and nature.

What is Magick?
The dictionary defines magick as 'the art of persons who claim to do things by the aid of supernatural powers or by their knowledge of nature's secrets.' Magick is a powerful energy raised by means such as meditation and circle casting, then directing it for a specific purpose like healing and divining. Everyone has the potential to work magick, it is all a matter of focusing ones will. Magick has a major role in Wicca. It surrounds us, is inside of us. In our heartbeats, in the wind. In stars and in songs. All you need to do is look!

The word Wicca comes from two possible roots: the Anglo-Saxon word "wc" or "wit" which means wise, or from the Celtic word "wick," which means to bend, be supple. Wiccans are able to adapt to their situation like the Willow in the storm. The Oak that does not bend will fall in the storm, while the Willow bends and is undamaged. The term "wick" could also stand for bending with your Will the way one does with Magick. Modern Wicca is the nature based Goddess and God woreship of the phases of the moon and the changes of the seasons. There is no "one way" of practicing Wicca. There are many different Traditions and it'es all a matter of finding the one for you. You may join a coven or be a solitary practitioner.

The Androgyne Myth
The Greek gods created a creature that had four arms and four legs and two heads. They flourished and the gods began to worry. The gods asked Hephestus, the god of the forge, to divide the androgynes in half and he did. These halves became known as humans. They spent the rest of thier lives looking for thier other half. Those few who did find thier other halfclung to one another - refusing to eat, sleep. etc. They died in one another's arms.
