The caption below this photo reads: "I kill them for world peace." Among Koreans 9/11 inspired not horror or sympathy, but a wave of Osama bin Laden fan pages. I ventured into Korean chat rooms after 9/11 and found that nearly all Koreans were happy about the attacks, which they felt were just payback for American "arrogance." Many younger Koreans also expressed the hope that if the U.S. was destroyed Korea could emerge as the number one nation in the world.
