This is a guy who everyone just called Aniki (big brother) fishing. He sat out there very patiently for hours.
I went fishing in Gifu with my friends one Saturday. It was a beautiful day, sunny and warm. Gifu is up in the mountains about a two hour drive from Komaki. We had a barbeque and then rented fishing poles. They were bamboo poles with a line attached (no reel). After the barbeque, men came down and stocked the river with fish, and we went fishin'. I immediately broke by line, and tied the hook back on myself, and caught two fish immediately. After that, I couldn't catch a thing. One of the guys fixed my line, but it didn't help. Basically fishing was an excuse to slosh around in the water, drink alcohol and chat. Afterwards, we ate a watermelon we'd been soaking in the river all day to get it cold. We had a great time. The following week, I went with Seiichiro to pick up Takuya from a church camp. Below are some pictures taken on both trips.
