You think your eyes hide it so well
So that no one can ever tell
How fast you're turning to ice
Rather than letting your heart be sliced
Their blades will cut you down anyway
Into the glass sculpture without a soul
You think you can get away without feeling
You think you can escape the toll
All I want to do is hold you
All I want to do is heal you
All I want to do is see you
Without the mask
You think the smile hides it so well
So that no one can ever tell
How fast you're fading away
Holding onto no one, drifting astray
You pull me down with you anyway
Into the blinding pain that you won't share
You think you can get away protecting me
You think you should be alone there
All I want to do is hold you
All I want to do is heal you
All I want to do is see you
Without the mask
Don't be the sacrifical martyr
You're not stronger when you bear the horror
By yourself, behind the mask
Just look me in the face
Take my embrace
And acknowledge that I love you
Without the mask
*Sung in a whisper, no music*
Please let me hold you
Please let me heal you
Please let me see you
Without the mask
