Our little Angel......

This page is dedicated to my niece Laci, May she rest in peace!

A couple years ago our family lost a very special part of our lives, my 2yr.old niece. I wanted to make a special page for her and her mother, to help heal all of us, and hopefully make people understand how quickly tragedy can strike all of us.

First let me explain my relationship to Laci, technically I wasn't her "real" aunt, her mother and my brother are divorced and she isn't my brother's child, she is a product of my ex-sister-in-laws second marriage. However since she has two siblings that are my real nephew and niece, her mother said that I was considered her aunt to!

I was just starting to get to know Laci when she passed away. She had also just learned to call me Aunt Tammy. I remember that one of her favorite sayings was "HUBBA HUBBA", and would never fail to crack me up when I heard this precious two yr old saying those words!

Below is a poem that was handed out at her services and dedicated to her.

~~~I'm An Angel Now~~~
One night I cried to Jesus, As I sat beneath the tree.I looked into the open sky, And hoped He'd answer me.
I'm lost, Dear Lord, I've traveled far, But still I seem to roam. Please light the way and lead me, Lord, I need to get back home.
I told Him of my burdens, and of the sadness in my heart. That from His gracious love, I'd never felt so far apart.
Why did you take my child, Lord? I cannot understand! No longer can I touch her face, or hold her hand.
I'm angry Lord, I'm missing her. I'm drowning in my sorrow. Please help to heal my yesterday, and face each new tomorrow.
It was then I heard her gentle voice, and felt her presence near. How I wanted so to hold her, as I cried another tear.
She said, "Mom, I'm an angel now, My spirit will be free. I'm an angel now in Heaven, so please don't cry for me."
I was chosen by our Lord above, and now I'm in his care. When you need me, look inside your heart, I promise to be there.
No one can ever take away, our bond with one another. For I'll always be your precious child, as you will always be my mother.
So, if you cannot find your way, or the road to home seems far, Just look up to the Heavens, and I'll be your guiding star.
She said "Mom, I'm an angel now, My spirit will be free. I'm an angel now in Heaven, no need to cry for me."
Laci's Family....
Here is the family Laci left behind...she had an older sister and an older brother. Here is a picture that I put together of them, Travis, Gina, Corey and Kandie. Corey was struck by a car when he was 5 yrs old, and he suffered head injuries. He has some brain damage, and partial paralyziation on his left side. To say the least my ex-sister-in-law has gone through alot in the past 10yrs. She has handled it as well as could be expected, and I give her credit..I don't think I could of handled it all so well. She lived for her children and still does. She is now with a wonderful man, and trying to get on with her life without Laci.
Special Thanks!!!!
~Little Angels~
When God calls his little children to dwell with him above, We mortals sometimes question the wisdom of his love.
For no heartache compares to the death of a small child, Who does so much to make your world seem wonderful and mild.
Perhaps, God tires of calling the aged to his fold, So he picks a rosebud, before it can grow old.
God knows how much we need them, and so He takes but a few to make the land of heaven more beautiful to view. Believing this is difficult, still somehow we must try.
The saddest word mankind knows will always be "Goodbye." So when a little child departs, we who are left behind, must realize God loves his children. Angels are so hard to find.
