You want a
closer relationship with God, but you're not sure how to get that intimacy
that you see others have. You want to find the truth for yourself, but
don't know where or how to look. You've heard about it and talked
about it, but you still haven't done anything about God's plan in your life.
You are
about to embark on the most important journey in your life. Your
Spiritual Journey. Here you will develop the knowledge, skills, and
the tools you need to discover for yourself who God is, what He promises,
and how to live your life in a way that is pleasing to God.
Through the
study of God's Word, praying with the right attitude, and journaling, your
spiritual journey will take on new meaning and purpose as you discover the
truths that God reveals to you and allow those truths to transform you.
My purpose is that they may be
encouraged in heart and united in love,
so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding,
in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ,
in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

Your Spiritual Journey
Your Spiritual Journey includes instruction on
Bible Study, Prayer, and Journaling. Below is a brief description of each
section of the lesson plan, or click on a button above to begin.
For the Word of God is living and active.
Sharper than any double-edged sword.
It penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow;
it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart

God wants us to have a deep and intimate
relationship with Him. He has provided His Word which reveals His promises
to us. The Bible explains to us who God is and what he can do for us. The
Bible tells us how to live our lives in order to receive God's many
blessings. It tells us everything we need to know about life and what
awaits us when we are no longer of this world.
Unfortunately, most people who read the Bible do
not fully understand what God reveals through His Word. This is not because
we're ignorant, for God truly wants to communicate with us and equip us with
everything we need to know in order to live more godly lives, but because we
simply don't now how. In order to fully discover what God is saying through
His Word, we must do more than merely read Scripture, we must seek to
understand not only what it says, but what it means and how to apply it to
our life. For it is through applying the truths God reveals through his
Word and we are transformed.

Pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and
requests.
With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.
Ephesians 6:18
Prayer is an essential part of our personal
relationship with God. It is through prayer that we communicate our
needs and share what is on our minds with god, but more importantly, it is
through prayer that God communicates with us. Prayer can change our
circumstances, heal us physically and/or emotionally, and can help those
around us.
Although there is no one right way to prayer, in
order to make prayer the most affective, we must approach God with an
earnest, humble spirit. It is our attitude concerning prayer that makes a
difference in how God responds. When we submit ourselves in humbly before
God, He delights in our humility and will release His power in our lives.

Journaling is a great way to track our spiritual
journey. Recording our prayer requests along with when and how they are
answered, tracking our Bible reading and what insights God has revealed to
us, writing verses that become meaningful to us, and compiling spiritual
materials, are just some of the things that are kept in a spiritual journal.
By keeping a record on our spiritual journey, we
are able to look back and see how God has provided for us and how we have
matured in our Christian life over time.
