Brooke(13) is Deann's oldest child and Ellen's first niece that isn't her own age. Brooke has held a special part of Ellen's heart since she was born. It has been an adventure to watch her grow up. She is blossoming into quite a lovely and accomplished young lady, and we are all very proud of her. Katri(11) is Deann's second child and the only one that Ellen ever got to see in the hospital before she went home for the first time. She's a vivacious girl with a real talent for charm, and she will always be known in the family as "the little wisp of a girl who beat the boys at football."
