Hauled manure. There was a skunk in the trap. Shot it. Mulestallion + man was around here.

Spread manure. Father drove to Dr. Hilbert. Bought a nipple for the wolf and it worked nicely.

Hauled manure. Manured the hen-stable. Took milk for the first time on Saturday for this year.

Rained in the afternoon, other wise we would have gone fishing. N. Blonigen was here.

It still rained. Washed. Ruined the whole day.

Rained till 11 o’clock. While it rained we manured in the pig-stable, then we spread manure the rest of the day.

Hauled manure to the potato patch. Rode to mule-stallion with Flora. Henry Froel came.

In the forenoon Peter hauled rest of manure for this year. Math and I spread the rest of the manure on the cornfield. In the afternoon spread manure on the potato field.

Father Hiltner celebrated his first mass at New Munich. No Vespers. Hubert Nick and Tony were. Played baseball.

Plowed part of the cornfield.

Rained pretty fair last night and also a little in the morning. Two pretty fair shower in the afternoon. The first one had some hail in itself too. Finished plowing the cornfield.

Dragged and marked corn field.

I attended Early Mass. Went fishing got "1" sucker, "1" bullhead and "1" pickerel.

Planted corn.

Drove cattle to Senart. Rained pretty fair last night. Planted pumpkins. Plowed and harrowed potato field. Harrowed cornfield.

Math attended Early Mass. Played baseball. Mother Susie etc. visited John Derichs.

Math Birk was here and settled the sidewalk bet. Marked and started planting potatoes.

Finished planting potatoes.

Peter drove to Paynesville to mill. I and Math manured horse stable for "4" days.

Mother Susie I etc drove to Richmond. Amme and Catherine were here. Peter took 88 bu of oats to Roscoe.

Worked on the road. "Niece" Grandmother, Amme and Catherine came.

Peter finished road. Attended the first of Mrs. Joe Heinen. Harrowed corn field. Fixed fence on the other side of the river. Math and John shot a hawk. Saw a wood-chuck.

Arnie Garding was "called out". Hauled Amme and Catherine to Albany. In the evening I and John to the young hawks out of the nest in Dan’s wood. The were dead. Math went to the nest in J. Derichs wood. Could not get near the hawks. Shot a skunk.
