We …Blonigen being "out of his head" wanted to lick Hubert last night. Hubert and Nick visited us in the eve.

Went to church in the forenoon. Sawed wood in the afternoon.

Sawed wood. A fox had been near the traps. Found a mink hole.
February 4rth, 1903
Sawed wood. Set a trap for a mink.
February 5th, 1903
Sawed wood. Peter kevnf? had taken the hen which I had put near the mink trap. I and Math went to confession.
February 6th, 1903
Went to communion. Sawed wood. Father hauled Anne Niehaus home.

Received rear sight from Sears R. & Co. Father and Peter went to Nick Blonigen.
February 8th, 1903
There was a mink in the trap. I skinned it.
February 9th, 1903
A dog (or two) had eaten the lungs and heart near the trap. Set trap for a mink and found 21 other mink holes. Sawed wood in the afternoon.

Hauled 5 tanks of water in the forenoon and 4 tanks in the afternoon. Wolves howled.

Sawed wood. Wolves had eaten a part of the guts?

Finished wood sawing at 9:30. Cleaned wood pile place and hauled wood for splitting. In the evening Val Haehn was surprised by the St. M. W. Band. John Blonigen was there too.

The Farming church burned to the ground. It was very cold this morning. It was 28 below 0.

Split wood. In the afternoon Father and Peter took a load of straw at Fleischhackers.

There was a benediction with the blessed sacraments immediately after mass on account of the Pope’s Silver Jubilee on Feb. 20, 1903.
February 23rd, 1903
Father and Peter took 2 loads of straw at Fleischhackers. In the eve there was a dance at Jacobs and one at the Village Hall by Val, Joe & Math Haehn. There was only 10 to 15 couples at Haehn’s place. They closed at 12 o’clock.

In the forenoon we washed and in the afternoon father and Peter took 2 loads of straw at Fleischhackers.
