From May 14-22, 2005, a group of thirteen students from the University of Central Arkansas in Conway were in Central and Eastern Europe. We were there to study WWII and it's effects on European culture. The trip was very intense, but only a taste-test to a whole new world of wonders.
While in Europe, we first visited Budapest in Hungary. We were not there too long, but we did get to visit to some local Roma and students to get a real feel for the city and it's history.
Our next stop was in Vienna, Austria. Saint Stephens Cathedral was just one of the many beautiful and unique places we visited while we snacked on some Vienna sausages!
Prague in the Czech Republic came next and it was gorgeous. An astronomical clock, Prague Castle, and a miniature Eiffel tower were a few of the attractions offered in Prague!
After Prague, we made a quick stop in Salzburg, Austria where The Sound of Music was filmed! Also, Mozart was born in this town at the base of the Alps.
Munich, Germany was our last stop. The Hofbrau House and the Glockenspiel definitely kept us entertained.
The trip as a whole was very much worth it, check out all of our pictures!
