One really weird thing is how intelligence is being slammed in this Presidential campaign. Being smart or educated is somehow held against you...makes you "elitist" according to people who apparently don't think it's important that a Vice Presidential candidate understand what a Veep actually does.

I always thought excellence and brains were a good thing. Every time I hear one of these people acting like it's a crime to be well-read, I hear my stepmom's voice in my head, saying, "You're so smart, you're stupid." And, ironically, the two people at the opening of this video look extremely similar to her parents.
