Had Sando LAR 30mg injection today. My nurse is now giving them
in my side just above my hips instead of the buttocks area, as I have
lumps and scar tissue from previous injections. She is certain that
this will assist with better absorption of the medication. I
have been experiencing facial swelling, which is a symptom of Carcinoid.
I have also continued to experience joint pain. I am soaking in a hot
tub of water in the evenings to try to reduce the amount of pain.
That does seem to help somewhat, but nothing totally takes the pain
away. I seem to really notice the pain first thing in the mornings,
late afternoons, and during the evening and at night. I am still
taking the same medications and nothing seems to have changed at this
point. I have also been experiencing facial swelling, which I am told
is yet another symptom of this disease.
