ENTRY THREE

.....Sarah was walking down the street one day when this man came up to her. He offered to take her to a casting call, because he was on his way over there anyways. She thinks about it for a while then decided that she would go with him. Even though she doesn’t really know him. She did, however, know who he was. His name was Elijah Wood.
.....So Sarah went with Elijah to this casting call. She got to read this thing that pretty much told her what happens in the movie and what characters there were in the movie. She decided that she wanted to try out for the part of Sandy. It wasn’t really one of the leads, it was just a person, she was important to the movie however. So she did her best, wasn’t scared at all during her audition. She thought she just had it in the bag.
.....But what she didn’t realize was that there were about seven people that were much more qualified to play the role. These people all went to her school. Somehow they were all here. She knew that they had always gotten the lead roles in the school plays and that they always got everything they wanted.
.....They got the leads so much that they weren’t even happy anymore once they found out. It was just like a straight A student getting another A. It was normal, nothing to celebrate. This made Sarah get really mad. She never got any leads because the director didn’t really always cast by talent. Sure, in the musicals Sarah knew why she didn’t get any leads, she couldn’t sing. But in normal plays she still wouldn’t get the lead just because the director favored the people that always got leads. She knew that they were good enough, that they would know all their lines, that they would do a splendid job.
.....But what her director didn’t know was that Sarah had a lot of talent as well. Just because she couldn’t sing and so she didn’t get good parts in the musicals didn’t mean that she had no talent. Sarah knew that it was her turn to get a lead. She knew that it was her turn to be recognized. But she knew that she would never get a good part. She would always be stuck with the small parts that no one would even remember after they saw it.
.....So after her audition Sarah went home. A few days later she got a call. It was from the casting agent! She got callbacks! So she went back to the place, and they had her read some things to see how she would do. At first they made her read a few times for this very small part, by the name of Mandy. Sarah thought that she was going to be Mandy. Oh well, she thought, at least I'm going to be in the movie. When she finished the callbacks, the director came up to Sarah and told her that she got the part of Sandy.
.....At first Sarah couldn’t believe it but then she realized that she was right. It was her turn. She did deserve to be recognized. And so she was. The director of this movie had never seen her audition for the musicals at her school. This director had never seen anything that she had done other than the audition for this movie. So she had gotten the part!
.....“In your face Samantha, Stephanie, Jennie and all you other people! For once I am getting the lead, and you are all stuck being stupid extras! HA! You were so used to just GETTING the parts that you didn’t even try hard enough. I however tried my hardest, like I do all the time, so I got the part. You see, if you always win, you can never appreciate the winnings. But if you spend time losing, you can appreciate it, like me. So I think you will be happy that you are just extras. It will put you in your place!!!!”

ENTRY TWO

Janise was doing her daily work out. She was on the running part. That was her favorite section, because she got to run around the entire station and see everyone as they worked. Well, in theory that is how it was supposed to work, but she would normally get way to tired before she could finish. She had almost finished, when she passed by the food lounge. Today she decided that she would go inside and maybe get some water or something. While she was trying to find the shortest line, one of her friends came up to her.
“Hey Neesey! Wassap?”
“You know I hate it when you call me that Brenda. Why do you insist on calling me that wretched name?”
“Because, its fun, and that’s what I used to remember how to pronounce your name…back when I didn’t know you all that well. You know, because your name is-”
“JuhNEESE not Janise…I know, you tell this to me all the time. Don’t you think I would know, seeing as how its MY name?”
“Oh, yeah, I was just … well … I guess I will leave you alone, I can see that you are busy with something more important than me.”
“Oh Brenda, you know I love you! You’re my best friend in the world… well, yeah, my best friend in the world. But you were right, I am busy; I have almost finished my rounds for running. Then I'm off to the showers to get cleaned off.”
“Ok, well I guess I will see you later. I have stuff to do also.”
“BYE!”
“Later!”
So Janise continued on her way around the station. She reached the lab, where her sister used to work. She went to the window to look out and thought to herself, “this is where my sister would always look out at the earth, and wonder what it would be like to be down there. Now I guess it’s my turn.” She did this every day after her sister went down to earth. Now Janise wanted to go to earth. She never wanted to before, but now that her sister was gone, Janise wondered if she would ever see her sister again. She knew that the only way she could, is if she went down to earth. “I will go down there some day. I just know it.” She said, to no one in particular, “I just don’t know HOW I will.”
Just then her mom came in and found her. Of course there was the long talk about how her sister did a lot of research on earth before she went down, and she made sure that she REALLY wanted to go and that she would be happier down there. Janise got that lecture everyday when her mom found her in the lab.
After the lecture Janise decided to take a shower. So she went back to her room where she had her own bathroom, bedroom and living room. It was like she lived by herself. Her sister had lived with her while she was still on the space station, but now she lived alone. It wasn’t that bad, there was no one there to tell her what to do, when to clean, and so on. But she still missed having someone there to talk to.
Janise walked into the bathroom and on the shower square. “Shower please” she said. As soon as she said that, machines came out of the walls to clean her up. That was one thing that she always took for granted.
When she came out of the shower, she went to her bad. She flumped down on her bed. Then she noticed something on her bed stand. She had gotten a letter from someone! She looked closer; it was from her sister!

ENTRY ONE!

She was walking down the hall when she first noticed it had happened. She rushed to go tell her best friend, and then she remembered…she couldn’t. She was dead. So instead, she just sat by her locker and watched as all the people walked by, oblivious to the fact that there was a little girl sitting there. In pain. Crying. She heard the bell ring to signal that there was only two minutes until people would be counted tardy. She didn’t care. She just continued to sit there by her locker. She watched as more and more people ran by, afraid to be counted tardy. Slowly, she stood up. She wasn’t ready to start walking yet, just stand. So she stood there. People looked at her as they passed, probably wondering what she was doing there, and why she wasn’t moving. She still didn’t care. The bell rang again. She started to walk. She watched her feet as they carefully only stepped on the tiles with the lines going horizontally. Slowly but surely she made her way down the hall. Around the corner. And down the next hall. She stopped before she got to her class. She would be counted late if she went in now. She stepped in. Her teacher took one look at her, and waved her on. That was the story of her life, she realized. People took one look at her, and waved her on. As if she was too insignificant to have to follow the rules. She looked around at the class. Not everyone was there. But everyone that was there was looking at her. She went to the back of the room to her chair. She saw someone else come in late. The teacher made him go get a tardy pass. But of course, she thought. That was someone who actually matters. Someone who might just accomplish something with his life, other than moping around all the time, being neglected and not caring about anything in life. He was a jock. He could some day be a famous football player. She sighed. She knew that no one would ever notice her. Not anymore. She was sitting there, thinking about how no one cares about her, and how she didn’t care about anyone. Then the bell rang. Great, she thought. Time to go to another class. So she got up and walked out of the class room. But once she got out of the door, she asked herself why she even went to these classes. She couldn’t think of a reason. So she just left the school. Of course she didn’t get caught. All the security people were too busy catching all the other people who were skipping school. She didn’t know where she wanted to go. She could go home. But she didn’t want to. She wasn’t in the mood to be a judge for the stupid games her sisters played. So she went to the park where she sat down and thought some more. This time she was thinking about all the things that her sisters did to her. She remembered the time when her sisters tried to make her eat crap. She remembered how her sisters would always pee in the cup by the sink in the bathroom. She remembered the times when she would always have to judge her sisters fart contests. She remembered how her mom would make her do all the chores because her sisters said that they did them last week. She remembered that she always kept her room clean, but she never got her allowance. And yet, her sisters only cleaned their room the moment before their mom came in to check. And they would always get allowance. She remembered how at school, she would never play in the group games because no one would let her join. She remembered that every single time she had tried to be best friends with someone, something would go wrong, either she moved, or her best friend moved, or her best friend died. She remembered how anytime she would ever tell anyone a secret, the entire group would always know. Maybe, she thought. Just maybe that’s why I cant ever get close to anyone. Maybe that’s why no one even pays attention to little old me.
