Hello everyone,
During our 3rd anniversary on-line party, I brought up the subject of Limericks
I believe we all know what “Limericks “ are, Right? They are short five line verses where the first two line rhyme, the 3rd and 4th shorter lines rhyme and the 5th line rhymes with lines one and two.
Though we had some fun making up some , most of those present felt we really need time to think about it, so we came up with the idea of making a Circle contest of this. They must be about yourself or another member, or the place where you live. But be careful!!! If you write about another member you mustn’t be surprised if that person answers you back!! He-he.
You can be as bold as you like, but please….. keep it clean.

A limerick is a five line rhyme
Whose second rhymes with the first line
Lines three and four
Must rhyme up for sure
And line five with the first two should rhyme

Here’s a pretty tame one to start you off to give you and idea how it goes:

Daphne, our member in Argentina
Has a daughter whose name is Romina
But her number one
Is Ruben, her son’s
Little girl who is called Agostina.

And here is another…….

Our founder is called Sharon Greene
Who very few of us have ever seen
She has taught us HTML
And web design as well
She must surely be our on-line queen

But I Can't wait for July
When across Canada I will fly
To take part in our infamous scene.

Well we certainly did become famous in Ontario! We hit the front page of the Tilbury Times!!
One of the many things we did was continue with the Limericks, mostly while on the Reunion Chariot I think.

I can always have a dream
I’ve met some new friends

And also I very much like cream

Chelsea wrote:
My name is Chelsea Malin
Not Kelsey or Chelsea Marlin
My town is a dump
And smells like a rump
Dupis, its name is again

Claudia has a good one:
From the Ozark Mountains of Missourri
Came Claudia Haynes in a hurry
The train was late
Without any debate
Taking it to be off with Bigsis in a flurry

Our hostess Marie:
My name is Marie Duquette
I have a small dog for a pet
The Circle of friends I have met
None nicer I will bet
Calling for sun and hoping we don’t get wet

Believe me, I like to get hugs
To Ontario we flew
Just to meet up with you
And to share real coffee in mugs

Instead of me, we’re now US

I finally met the group
What a wonderful team
I’m their watermelon queen
Come into my hoop

Patsi says:
My name is Patsi Duquette
I know where the fun’s to be get
Some call me Pat
But to most I am Major Brat.
And I’ll prove it to you all yet

Daphne answered:
It matters not what most people say
Patsi’s an angel as clear as the day
She’s proved it not once, but three times or more
She’s always on hand when someone feels sore
So that’s how I feel come what may
