So, I am from Florida. I grew up in a house that lacked central A/C. Until recently I never owned a car with working air, except for the standard 4-40, (Four windows down going 40 m.p.h) Yet I must face one incontrovertible fact...
I am hot.
Its the end of freaking October, so I convinced my DH to turn off the A/C (he's a native too) and now all day I have been slightly sweaty... moist... damp if you will, and I am sure I do not like it.
I have had the windows open all day. It is a remarkably quiet neighborhood I live in, despite being 1 block off a busy road. I have all the fans on, well, all the fans that have cords I can reach. I am somewhat on the short side and not fond of climbing onto things to enable me to reach higher.
I will have my DH in all of his 6'6" glory, turn on all the fans to HIGH tonight, and he will laugh because I am too short to kill him for reaching things so easily. And also it is hot. Did I mention it is hot? It is definitely too hot to kill my husband.
So, I am hot and I type and I wait for my little girl to wake from her sweaty sleep. But I know for every dollar we save by being a little bit uncomfortable, I can stay home with her just a little longer.
And its worth being hot.
