The first records of the church go back to 1852, with the listing of the first pastor. The oldest deed found on record is dated 1860. I transcribed the names below, from old church logs now on microfilm, at the Arkanss History Commission in Little Rock. Many of the names were hard to read and some of the dates were not in order. I transcribed the information just as the original document stated it, even though some names were probably not spelled correctly. Inside the church hangs a beautiful picture of Jesus. He seems to be guarding what once was such a special place for so many. A sad reminder of how quickly time moves on and people move away. There is something symbolic about the picture of Jesus, just waiting....
