Uncle’s plan to escape Cambodia
Uncle made a plan to escape Cambodia to Thailand, hoping that I would be recovered before the designated date. Thank God for healing me right on time: when we took the first step to walk away from our loved one, from Battambang city of Cambodia with much tears and questioning of what would be unexpected on the way ahead of us. Uncle’s health was no better than mine. His body had begun swallowing gradually. We thought he had diabetes at the time, but we weren’t sure of it a hundred percentage. His health was deteriorating him, destroying his physical movement. Because of this, we were resting most of the time along the way. We walked from one electric pool to the next for uncle could only walked this far. We wondered how we would get to our destination since we were pacing this way. On the other hand, we barely had food to eat to increase our energy to advance our journey to Thailand. We perspired so much under the hot sun and dry air of the swirling wind blowing against our bodies. Our sweat was washing off our skinny body so much that we had no energy less to advance, but hopelessly we still stepped forward slowly escaping our beloved homeland Cambodia.
