Uncle’s death: living with God now
Uncle was so happy to share his great testimony with people in
Philadelphia. They all like his testimony very much. Uncle stayed with me
for a couple days and then flew back to Washington. I didn’t do much with
him during his visit. When uncle returned to Washington, I had not heard
from him for a couple months. But one night, I heard the phone ring in my
living room, and I ran to pick it up. I could not believe, My brother told
me that our uncle had just passed away. I was so sad. It was just a couple
months from July 1997. It was so soon. My uncle, who had faced many types
of illness such as diabetes, had finally died of cancer. I couldn’t
believe my brother words, but it was true. I can’t deny it. At the time I
did not have enough money to purchase a ticket. So, I shared my burden
with the church, and our brethren gave me some money to purchase the
airfare. I went ahead and bought the emergency ticket to attend my uncle’s
funeral. I was glad that I had gone to the funeral with our relatives and
friends. I believe that one day I will see him in heaven. Oh! Lord please
let me enter!
