3/2007 Dear Faithful and Wonderful Supporters, Appreciation We are so thankful with all your amazing supports: prayer and finance. If without your strong supports, we would not be able to live and serve our Lord here as we have been serving Him up to now. So, thank you very much. And please continue to support us as we journey our ministry in expanding and extending our Lord’s kingdom over here. Together, we are able to help fulfilling the Lord Jesus Christ’s Great Commission. Ministry Report February 25 I was asked to preach at Russey Keo Church and a lot of people love the preaching. Some of them came and thank me for the preaching, and one of the youth came to tell me that it was a privilege to hear me preaching. February 27 to March 01: We had conducted Wise Rabbit seminar with 50 people attending the seminar. It is our last seminar in Phnom Penh. If God willing, our Team may conduct the Wise Rabbit Seminar in Kampong Cham. March 01 to 04: I stay extra days in Phnom Penh intended to meet with Penha to work on translation to all my lessons for leadership, but had done only a couple pages due to lack of time on Penha side. But during this time I had visited two families who fathers had recently gone home with the Lord. And during this time, I was also asked by youth leader at the MENONITE CHURCH to be a guest speaker for their youth group and preached for the Sunday service. Some of the youth came straight to be after the each speaking, commenting me on my talking. They said that I preach with the motivation and it is enlightening them the fact of life: the trouble they have been facing, but no body was enable to enlighten them or motivating them to move out or to be preparing for it. March 05 to 08: I had prepared documents for the The Consultant Seminar to be read by pastors and teachers of the seminar. And during this time we had the Issachar Seminar in Kampong Cham at the youth center. March 09: First meeting for the Consultant Seminar: We had pastors who will be teaching and in charging the Consultant Seminar came to the meeting at Khmer Methodist Church from 3pm to 5pm, discussing on preparing for the seminar. Lessons for the seminar had been checking and enlighten for clarification making sure that all teachers are the right track in preparing the lessons. And all those who help run the seminar would know what to do. March 10 to 15 - On Sunday 11, I preached at the Savior Church. And during the week day, I had been updating the documents and advising teachers for their lessons. This is a hard case, since it is a seminar for pastors and leaders, and the four pastors who would be teaching had never been asked to teach for pastors and leaders especially teaching on topics. So, please pray for them. We will meet a second time to discuss on the Consultant Seminar on March 17. And we will conduct the Seminar on March 23 this month. March 14: I start teaching Music Theory. There were 18 students attended the class. I was so please with the number since I had not expected this many. March 15: I supposed teach on leadership. But there was none come to the class. So, I spent time reading leadership book and I had done one book on Leaning To Lead and had read a couple page on the book, called Becoming A Person Of Influence by John C. Maxwell and Jim Dornan. I like the idea on Understanding People needs and wants is the key point to motivate people to do thing. Well! I had spent the afternoon working on this prayer letter to be mailed to our supporters. March 16 to 18: I will be teaching Music to a special musician group from 1pm to 2pm. On the 17, I will be teaching Leadership Lesson to young emerging leader at the New Life Church from 6am to 7:30am. And will be spending the afternoon from 3pm to 5pm discussing the Consultant Seminar at the Khmer Methodist Church. I will be attending or preaching at the Living Water Church. March 23: The Consultant Seminar will become alive. I will be teaching on God’s will and His plan in saving His People. And others 3 teachers will be teaching on God’s Prophecy and Promise, Jesus Christ’s Ministry on Earth, and Jesus Christ’s Great Commission. Please pray for us. Pray for pastors and leaders who would be attending the seminar. Pray that they would understand the lessons and are able to apply the lessons to do their individual ministry. March 24: I will be teaching for the Diamond Project. Please pray for me for God’s strength so that I be able to teach the students with fresh mind. March 25: I will be preaching at New Life Church in the morning at 7:30am, and then we are heading for Phnom Penh for the ITEACT’s meeting on March 26 Monday evening. Please pray for God’s strength on our events. Now, we are successfully finished the Consultant. We have students close to 40 attending the Consultant Seminar. And some of them said that the Seminar was a good one. And they said that the Consultant Seminar is too short for it lasts just one day; it should be at least run for two days. This is a good signal that they want more teaching on the words of God. This morning I taught at Diamond Project, I sensed students enjoy my teaching. A couple of them said that they have learned a lot from my teaching. Praise the Lord for His blessing through me. Tomorrow, I will be attending the wedding of one of the pastor’s daughter, and tomorrow I will be preaching at the New Life Church at 7:30am, and after then we will be taking the Sorrya’s city bus from Kampong Cham to Phnom Penh to be ready attending the wedding of our neighbor’s son, and to be ready attending the ITEACT’s meeting on Monday from 2pm to 5pm. I will be remaining for a couple days in Phnom Penh for ministry, mentoring business, and especially checking with the US Embassy about my wife’s visa to the United States. Then, I will be returning back to run and/or participate the Pastor’s Breakfast Fellowship on the 31th of March. Please pray for our family during this busiest time. Right, now we do not know what we are going to do during Khmer New Year for fund is tight for us. Thank you for your faithful and wonderful supports, and may the great Lord richly bless you all. Your partner in Christ’s Kingdom, Khath&Romdourl and Angelina Chanda Ourng
02/21/2007 Dear Wonderful Partner in Christ's Kingdom, How are you all doing? I pray that your would have a wonderful life and ministry over there. I can do all thing through Christ providing me strength. Philippian 4:13. A quick prayer Requests: on the following schedule:
Please pray for me as we are serving Him here! Thank you very much!
12/20/2006 Dear Wonderful and Faithful Supporters, Merry Christmas to all my Wonderful and Faithful Supporters. Praise the Lord for this Season of the Year. My prayer is that every one would be receiving many blessings from our Great Lord and would have such a wonderful time to enjoy Christmas. Praise Him for having me celebrate Christmas with many churches this amazing year. Last week, I had gone to Preav Vang to share the word of God and celebrate Christmas party with our brothers and sisters in the village called Choung Boung. There I preached, led two new believers to the Lord, and led the baptism for 11 people who decided to be baptized and follow the Lord. Yes, on our free time, I had a chance to teach the new pastor and members of the church the word of God and also taught some guitar chords to the pastor. Members of the church had expressed the need for Bibles and song books. I pray that one day the Lord would provide them with sufficient source of worship. My schedule for the following weeks would be as follow: 1. 12/24/06 will be preaching at Church of Savior 2. 12/30/06 will have a pastor’s breakfast fellowship 3. 12/31/06 will be preaching at church of Hope in Christ 4. 12/01/06 will be going to preach at one church in the far away village close to Choung Boung 5. 12/25-27 will be going to Phnom Penh, meeting with Sokhourn, Musician 6. 12/22/06 will have a Christmas Celebration with International Teams Cambodia So, please pray for me about these activities Your Partner in Christ's Kingdom, Khath Ourng
October 2006 To the Friends and Supporters of Khath Ourng, Khath has been faithfully serving in Cambodia since September 2000. A year ago, he and his family moved to Kampong Cham to help start the KC Youth Ministry Center which partners with about 15 churches to help train the next generation of Christian leaders in that province. I served with Khath for two years from 2002-2004 while I was the team leader in Cambodia. I recently brought a team of 11 people on a short-term team. We spent a week in Kampong Cham partnering with 5 churches to do evangelism among their friends and neighbors. We had the privilege of praying with around 40 adults to receive Christ during that week. I was able to see Khath in action because we were on the same evangelism team. He was a great support to our team and I could tell he is having an effective ministry in Kampong Cham. I recently asked Mark Fender the team leader about Khath’s role in the ministry. He wrote: Khath is a valuable part of our team. His primary ministry focuses on developing relationships with the pastoral leadership in Kampong Cham. This ministry is a tangible expression of our commitment to working in partnership with the local church. Khath provides advice and encouragement to local pastors, and also preaches frequently in those churches. Because of his interaction with pastors, Khath is able to provide me as team leader with valuable "in the trenches" insights about the needs and opportunities in the churches we are serving. In addition, Khath serves the team through teaching in various seminars such as the Wise Rabbit Leadership Program. He makes a valuable contribution to our team!” Khath is currently on a three year assignment that ends in 2008. It has not been easy for him to raise support but God has always provided enough over the past six years. Last week I learned that he would be losing a special scholarship which provides $400 of his support each month. This is almost 25% of his whole budget and is very significant because he has a wife and daughter. I am writing today to ask you to consider either beginning to support Khath or to increase your monthly giving. My wife and I have been supporting Khath for $25 per month. We plan to increase that to $50 per month. We are hoping others will make similar decisions to help keep Khath on the mission field. If you are able to start or increase your support, please let me know by email or phone. Thanks for prayerfully considering this request. In His Service, Steve Scoffone International Teams Strategic Coordinator for Cambodia 215-242-1215, citysteve@iteams.org
07/12/2006 Praise God and Thanks I praise God for blessing you so that you are able to partner with us in expanding His Kingdom here in Cambodia. I am so grateful for your continuous support both in prayer and finances. Because of your kindness, we are able to serve the Lord with our brothers and sisters in this country. Furthermore, your supports helped us make a trip to Thailand to submit my wife’s application for a visa to the United States at the US embassy from June 9 - 15, 2006. Praise the Lord for making it successful and for bringing us back home safely. I wish I could shake hands with every one of you to show my thankful heart. Ministry I have been spending much time preparing lessons for our Wise Rabbit Seminar from June 20-23, 2006. We hold this leadership seminar every 3 months in Phnom Penh and invited leaders from around the country. In the past we have covered topics such as evangelism, mentoring, how to study the Bible, how to teach, and the character of a leader. This seminar focused on leading worship. We covered topics like understanding Biblical worship, how to plan a worship service, various forms of worship, introduction to music notation, and how to form a worship team. There were 34 leaders who attended. It was difficult for me to teach music in Khmer to leaders who know very little on the topic. I was pleased, however, to hear some tell me they liked my teaching and have been praying for this for a along time. Although we could only give them an introduction, it is a start for them to obtain some skill in music and leading worship. During this time I also continue working with New Life Church’s pastor on developing leaders and new structures for church growth. I meet Pastor Kiry Him regularly to discuss issues of the church, pray in the morning with church members, and teach young leaders every Friday. I am also working on a project helping Thearit, one of our interns, to translate a leadership book called “Essential Vision.” We are now finishing the whole book with twelve lessons. Prayer Requests:
Thank you very much, Khath and Romdourl Ourng (and also Angelina Chanda)
06/08/2006 Dear Wonderful Supporters, Please pray for Khath Ourng family for going to submitting Visa application to the USembassy in Thailand. We are going by land from Cambodia to Thailand tomorrow. Please pray for our safe trip and submitting the application. Thank you very much, Khath&Romdourl and Angelina Chanda Ourng
May 2006 Dear Wonderful and Faithful Partners in Christ’s Kingdom, Praise God Praise our Lord Jesus Christ for His great plan for our life and ministry. I never thought that we would achieve this much in life. As you may know, I never rode a moto (a small motorcycle) before in America or during my first 5 years back in Cambodia. I was afraid to try because there are many crazy drivers here. After I got married, I knew I needed to learn. God gave me the courage and now I use my moto every day and even drive it with my wife and our daughter sitting in between us. Recently we were visited by Yorn, a woman leader from the Philadelphia Cambodian Evangelical Church, and I was able to take her to some places she needed to go. I am also thankful that God is teaching me the skills of being a father. I enjoy helping my wife by caring for my daughter while she is busy cooking food and washing clothes. This helps me to get close to my daughter so that I can develop an intimate relationship between father and child. Finally, our Great Lord has offered me an opportunity to spend some special times with some key leaders through informal time in the Word of God. I lead the Morning Prayer every day from 6am to 7am and teach Bible lessons to key leaders of the New Life Church in Kampong Cham City. I am happy and thank the Lord for this wonderful opportunity. Now, I am developing good friendships with many church members, especially with Pastor Kiry Him. Appreciation This ministry has been established through your generous prayer and financial support. I believe the ministry has been advancing forward toward His will and our vision, which is multiplying leaders and growing churches throughout Cambodia. Jesus commanded the Apostles and us to make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:18-20) and to be His witnesses by bringing the good news from Jerusalem to the ends of the earth (Acts1:8). So again, thank you for continuing partnership with us in the Kampong Cham ministry. Mission March 8-12, 2006, I had a great time with the First Presbyterian Team from Washington State. I helped translate for some team members and the pastor on Saturday and Sunday during their teaching and preaching. After our busiest schedule, we had wonderful fellowship through lunch and dinner. I was fortunate to have songs and played music with a member of the team. I gave him a cassette of my sample songs. This was such a wonderful experience. Praise the Lord. March 17-19, 2006, I had traveled to Phnom Penh. There I had done two things: I got my tooth fixed and preached at Russey Keo Baptist Church on the topic of Wisdom from God. There were about 300 people attending the service. I had never seen such an amazing thing happen before through all my times preaching. The miracle was when Pastor Tourn Kakda called people to the front if they wanted to receive wisdom, almost everyone came in front of the alter, praying for wisdom from God. I love preaching at Russey Keo Church, for each time I preach I see people’s hearts moved by God’s word. March 27 - April 9, 2006, Louis from Colorado State came to Kampong Cham City. I have an opportunity to take him to two of my ministry fields. I introduced him to the Morning Prayer, but I had asked him not to bring a camera to take pictures for it was not right at this time; I have just started to build a relationship with this group through this new program of Morning Prayer. I do not want them to think differently about me trying to raise funds by using them. April 21-23, 2006, this was my second time to the dentist to finish fixing my tooth. I preached again at Russey Keo Baptist Church. The topic was God’s Plan for Saving His People, freeing them from sin. There were about 300 people. While I was on the alter preaching, I could see some people sitting outside of the door. After I stepped down from the alter and met with some members of the church a gentleman walked toward me and said that my preaching had filled up his heart. Another said, “Praise the Lord for His words.” I was so pleased to hear this saying for it helps me to concentrate more on the word of God, and therefore it helps strengthen my faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. This helped me know that I am doing the right ministry for the Lord. Prayer Requests:
Sincerely, Khath Ourng
05/24/2006 Dear Wonderful and Faithful Partner in His Kingdom, Recently I have been asked by the USembassy in Thailand to fill out for the Visa in Thailand. The letter have been sent to the United States in September 22, 2005. But I have just recently received in May 2006. Now, I am going to check with the USembassy in Phnom Penh to see what action should I take in responding to fulfilling for the Visa. For they also asked us to fill out the Affidavit 213A, which we had already turned into to them when we submitted our original sponsorship document in September 13, 2005. And we do not know why they are asking for it again this time. So, please pray for us as we on our journey to solve this problem. Also, please pray for me as I am look for doctor to cure my buttock.
Thank you very much for your long time supporting: Prayer and finance. Khath&Romdourl and Angelina Chanda Ourng

"Gani Sison" <gani.sison@iteams.org> Dear IT Family, Our dear sister in Kunming, China, Divine Tumala, was rushed to the hospital last night after suffering from a stroke that paralyzed half of her body. She was ministering to the Chinese at that time when she suddenly felt something was wrong with her. The IT team called for an ambulance that brought her to the hospital right away. The initial diagnosis pointed out to a blod clot in the brain that led to the stroke. She is concious and has shown courage in this most trying time. Our team is with her and are working on a schedule that will allow them to go round the clock to be by her bedside. The country leader is on top of the situation and will be providing us with regular updates on her condition. Her relatives, sending and supporting churches have been informed and are praying for her already. We have consulted with doctors here in Manila and were given advice on the next steps to make. Sis. Divine has been a great encouragement to all of us. She has inspired us greatly with her many stories of amazing miracles in China. (Remember the story of the money that was sent through the wind?) Please pray for the Lord to display once more His power in the life of our dear sister. Our strength and peace is in the Lord. In Christ, Gani IT East Asia/ Philippines PS: Please be reminded of the security concerns for our team in China for all communication matters. ______________________________________________
˙ SPRING 2006 03/23/2006 Dear Wonderful and Faithful Partner in Christ’s Kingdom, Appreciation Thank you for your supports both in prayer and finance. Through your supports, we have been able to serve the Lord here. I especially have done a lot of informal advising of many young leaders as well as pastors both in Phnom Penh and Kampong Cham Province. Again, this has happened only due to your generosity. So please continue partnering with us as we pioneer the frontier of Christ’s Kingdom in Cambodia. Mission I have recently worked as a consultant with one church. I am mentoring Pastor Kiry Him to help him understand the important of organizing his church so that it will run well and be able to grow in the future. I have planned to use this church as a model for others to follow. As of now, I have spent a lot of time with this innovative pastor both in teaching him English by using a children’s Bible and by helping him develop a strategy for church growth. I pray that God would bless the pastor’s ministry to the Lord and that the Lord would provide for his needs. For example, his family currently lives with his wife’s parents and I pray that God would provide a home for them. His wife’s parents are not yet believers so we also pray for their salvation. It is hard for pastors in Cambodia because their churches are not usually able to pay them. This pastor is serving the Lord by faith while his wife draws a small salary from teaching. Please pray for Pastor Him and others who faithfully serve God in Cambodia with very like support.
Wise Rabbit V: February 21-24, 2006 We recently held our fifth Wise Rabbit Leadership program for leaders throughout Cambodia. The topic for this conference was Fellowship in the Body of Christ. We had three teachers from International Teams: Mark Fender, Mades Meas, and myself. We also had teaching help from two other missionaries: Heap Him and Chris Abner. I taught about “Unity in the Body of Christ” and “Learning to Forgive.” I really enjoyed teaching at these seminars because the students came with very teachable hearts. I loved to see them discussing in small group about unity and forgiveness, which are such great needs in the Cambodian churches.
Soon after the conference, I went with pastor Kiry Him to attend a funeral in a far away village. During the trip we had a wonderful discussion about church ministry. He said that he now realizes that forgiveness is the only way that things can change in Cambodia, both in the church and society. He has just used my lesson on forgiveness to teach his church members both in Sunday school and during the worship service. I felt much joy knowing that leaders were taking what they learned from the Wise Rabbit Program and using it to disciple their church members.
Leadership Seminar in Kampong Chhnang Province: February 27-28 I had been asked by Sokhoeun, one of the men I mentor, to speak and help translate at another leadership seminar in Kampong Chhnang province. This second seminar was only a couple days after our Wise Rabbit Program. We started this seminar with a little over 100 leaders and pastors. I was invited to speak for two morning devotions on the following: “We are the Heavenly Nation” –and- “Because of Love, God places Jesus Christ in us and what would be our response to His Love.” Besides teaching the devotions, I also translated for some American speakers.
Recording some songs at Russey Keo Baptist Church Before I left the seminar, I received a phone call from Pastor Toun Kakda, asking me to stop by Russey Keo Church to record some sample songs of mine. They want to use some of my songs in a new CD for Khmer New Year. After I left the seminar in Kampong Chhnang, I traveled by bus back to Phnom Penh. In addition to recording the New Year songs, the pastor asked me to write two new songs. One was a testimony songs based on a true story of a pastor who had recently been kidnapped but God rescued him from evil men. This pastor now serves as an assistant to Pastor Kakda. I was also asked to write a promotional song for a new sewing ministry of Russey Keo Church that sells inexpensive clothes to help the poor. The last few weeks have been busy but I thank God for all these opportunities to serve Him. Prayer Requests: · Please pray for wisdom from God so that I will use my gifts and choose wisely among many opportunities to serve in this country. · Pray for God’s help to write good and right songs which will help build His Kingdom. · Pray for my health and family. · Pray for our ministry and mission team.
Thank you very much, Khath & Romdourl and Angelina Chanda Ourng

You just type Khathourng.org on the website address, and highlight your cursor on the God arrow with a click on the mouse, then Khathourng.org webpage will be open for you. Let's join hands in prayer for churches and leaders in Kampong Cham.
Your brother and partner in Christ Kingdom, Khath&Romdourl and Angelina Chanda Ourng
December 2005
Dear Brothers and
Sisters in Christ,
November 2005
Dear Wonderful Partners in Christ’s Kingdom,
Thank you for partnering with us as we have established the Kampong Cham Youth Ministry Center. We started the center about 6 months ago and have received a good response from many youth (ages 18-25) who desire to receive training. We currently have only two families (Mark & Sopheaktra Fender and Khath & Romdourl Ourng) serving here with International Teams. We also have two Khmer staff (Samay and Thearith) working with us
Our team leader, Mark Fender, has been very busy developing new programs to help train the youth from the 15 churches here in Kampong Cham. We currently provide a year long program call “Foundations in Holistic Youth Ministry,” Mark is leading one T.E.E. (Theological Education by extension) class with youth and I hope to start one with church leaders, and we have started four English courses for students at various levels.
Last week we held the first Issachar Seminar with over 50 youth. This program is sponsored by the EFC Youth Commission which is our partner in establishing the youth center. The seminar focused on God’s plan for families and society. It included teaching on how to build a good marriage and family. The seminar is named after the “men of Issachar who understood the times and knew what Israel should do.” (1 Chronicles 12:32) It was my pleasure to help translate for some brothers and sisters from the Philippians for half a day. I like the content of this seminar very much for it helps to enlighten young people to prepare their lives for becoming good parents according to God’s standard.
Last month our family was pleased to have Steve Scoffone visit us from the U.S. Steve was our former team leader and is now the I.T. Strategic Coordinator for Cambodia. He took some pictures of our family which I hope to put on our website. I loved to see my wife holding our daughter Angelina Chanda Ourng while Steve was taking our pictures. Steve encouraged us that our work in Kampong Cham would raise up a new generation of godly leaders who will be equipped with important skills such as computers, music, and English in addition to be trained in Bible knowledge and Christian leadership. Steve has a dream that one day the Kampong Cham Youth Center will be used to multiply leaders to serve throughout Cambodia. I love this idea, but also realize that only God can help to make this dream become reality. Your prayers are important to help accomplish this dream.
Prayer Requests: 1. Pray for Mark Fender as he leads our team in Cambodia. 2. Pray that my wife and I will be good parents for Angelina. 3. Pray for my English class. I am teaching on how to study the Bible in English. This course is very challenging to the students because they have to read, write, and discuss in English. 4. Pray for me as I am doing research in preparation for a new class on music theory which we hope to start in January.
Yours in Christ, Khath, Romdourl, and Angelina Ourng

Your partner in the Lord Kingdom,
Khath&Romdourl, and Angelina Chanda Ourng
August 30, 2005 Dear Wonderful Partners in Christ’s Kingdom, Family Update: Great News! Praise the Lord with us for Angelina Chanda Ourng! She was born on Wednesday, June 29 at 7:15 am. She was delivered at Varong Hospital in Kampong Cham and weighed 2.8 kilograms. Both mother and daughter are doing fine. Thank you for your prayer for Romdourl’s pregnancy. Please pray now that God would teach us to be good parents. Angelina arrived about 10 days early. According to Bayon Hospital in Phnom Penh, she should have been born on July 7, 2005. We had planned to go to Phnom Penh on June 30 for a team meeting and stay until the baby was born. God had different plans. He must have wanted Angelina to be born in Kampong Cham. Another amusing thing is that Angelina likes to sleep during the day and hardly sleeps at night. I think she is on American time! Unfortunately, this is bad for us as we need to sleep but she wants to play. So far it has been my job to care for her most of the time during the night. Please pray for me! Ministry Update: Thank you for supporting the Kampong Cham Youth Ministry through our family. We are glad to serve the Lord among our brothers and sisters over here. There are 16 churches in Kampong Cham City that we are working with. We have now started two programs: Foundations of Holistic Youth Ministry and Theological Education by Extension (TEE). Since we were here, we have visited almost all of these 16 churches. My wife and I only have a couple churches left to visit for the first time. We have been going to 2 or 3 churches each Sunday. We have built good relationships with most of the leaders we have met. They are very positive and supportive of our program. Our role is based on building good relationships among these leaders, so that they would understand and support our service to all youth from their churches. Prayer requests: Praise for the birth of Angelina Chanda Ourng. Pray that she will sleep at night. Pray for strength for Khath and Romdourl. Pray for me as I start teaching TEE with some of the church leaders. Thank you for supporting my family and ministry in Cambodia. Yours in Christ, Khath and Romdourl Ourng
APRIL 22, 2005 Dear Partners in Christ's Kingdom, We would like to say hello and greet you all from Kampong Cham, Cambodia. My plane arrived on Saturday, April 16, 2005 at 10:10am at the Phnom Penh International Airport. While sitting on the runway, I was nervously wondering how I would react when seeing my relatives and wife for the first time in almost four months. Well, I was so happy to get through immigration and rushed to meet my wife. The first person I saw was my mother in-law and Pastor Moli whom I knew for almost four years. I heard my mother-in-law calling my name and then calling my wife to let her know that she had seen me walking to them. Then in a flash I found myself hugging my beautiful wife again. This was one of the happiest days of my life. Then, we took a taxi straight to Kampong Cham province . We got there around 1:00 pm, because we stopped along the way for lunch. That is enough for now about our reunion. The above event was made possible because of the support of our brothers and sisters through both finances and prayers. We pray that your ongoing commitment will keep us serving our Great Lord in Kampong Cham to produce and multiply leaders for the 15 churches in this city and even more leaders that will impact other parts of the country. We plan to serve the Lord for the next three years in Kampong Cham through International Teams. Please pray for us as we help pioneer this exciting new ministry center. Please pray for our up coming child as my wife, Romdourl, will give birth some time in July. We have decided to name our daughter Angelina Chanda Ourng. Please pray for our daughter, too. We will keep you posted on future news. As of now, we would like to pray that you all would be richly blessed by our Great Lord. Yours in Christ, Khath and Romdourl Ourng
A Letter from Steve Scoffone February 2005 Dear Friends of Khath Ourng, Khath has been serving as a missionary in Cambodia for the past 4 years. God has used him in many exciting ways. He was originally invited by the RDI Studio to help start a ministry producing new Khmer Christian music. Khath is an excellent song writer and has also mentored other young song writers. Khath and the team at RDI have produced 6 Christian CD’s and 2 Karaoke VCD’s. These are being sold in the markets of Phnom Penh and unbelievers are hearing the message of the gospel. In addition to the music ministry, Khath is a guest preacher at many churches. He has also become an advisor to some of the Khmer pastors and has mentored some young church leaders. Khath developed a good relationship with an influential pastor named Tourn Kakda. Pastor Kakda asked Khath to help him develop a training ministry for pastors and church leaders from the provinces. These faithful Christian leaders do not have the opportunity to attend bible college so they have had little Bible training. Khath and the other International Teams missionaries have developed a series of three days conferences called the Wise Rabbit Leadership Program. This program is training pastors from all over Cambodia. Khath was married to Romdourl on August 7 and they are expecting their first child at the end of June. The leadership of International Teams would like to send Khath back to Cambodia for another 3 year assignment. He will continue with the Wise Rabbit Program and will also help start a new Youth Ministry Center in the Kampong Cham province. We will be partnering with 15 churches from many different denominations. Our goal is to develop future leaders for the churches in Cambodia. We hope that Khath will return to Cambodia by the beginning of April. For Khath to return, he needs to raise another $700 in monthly support. We are praying for people who can support Khath either $25, $50, or $100 per month for the next three years. Would you consider joining Khath’s support team? We need your prayer and support so that Khath can continue his effective ministry in Cambodia. Sincerely, Steve Scoffone International Teams Strategic Coordinator for Cambodia 215-242-1215 / CitySteve@iteams.org
