Kenneth Grahame -
  • Born march 8 1859 to mother Elizabeth Grahame (Bessie Ingles) and James Cunningham Grahame.
  • In 1868 he went to st Edwards school, Oxford.
  • He went there for 7 (1868-1875) years and did very well.
  • He finished at a public school gained 1st XV colours for Rodger, was secretary of the 2nd XI at criket, shot at wimbledon, and spent his last four terms for Michaelmas 1874.
  • He first worked for his uncle at a bank.
  • At the bank during his spar time he started to write stories.
  • He started to write stroies for journals such as St. James Gazette, W.E. Henley's National Observer and The Yellow Book.
  • His own work then began to be published under names such as Pagan Papers 1893 in. In 1895 they appeared in The Golden Ageand and fianlly Dream Days in 1898.
  • During the publishing of his story a famous one arose "The Reluctant Drangon".
  • In 1899 he marrried Elspeth Thomson and had one child named Alastair born in 1900 who later died in 1918.
  • In 1907 Grahame retired from the bank and finally, in 1908 published his own book named "The Wind In The Willows".
  • In 1916 he edited work titled "The Cambridge Book of Poetry for Children"
  • Grahame later died on july 6 in 1932.
