The third characteristic of the Antichrist which we'd like to point out is that he forms part of an unholy trinity. Just as God is a holy Trinity - Father, Son, and Holy Ghost - likewise Satan has his evil trinity. Satan tries to imitate everything pertaining to God, and this matter of the trinity is no exception.
The unholy trinity is composed of Satan, the Beast, and the False Prophet. Read Rev. 20:10 -
"And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and he shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever."
This verse speaks of the eventual destruction of the unholy trinity but, for now, we'd simply like to make the point that there is indeed such a trinity. Satan is in several places referred to as a "father" {e.g., John 8:44a - "Ye are of your father the devil...."}. His "son" is the Antichrist unto whom he gives his authority and power to act on his behalf. The third person of the unholy trinity is the False Prophet. As the Holy Spirit bears witness to the Person and work of Christ, the False Prophet bears witness to and glorifies Satan.
The forth characteristic of the Antichrist we'd like to mention is the fact that he will probably be a Jew. In all honesty we must admit that this point is a widely-debated one and, therefore, we do not want to be dogmatic about it. However, we'll indicate a few reasons to believe that the Antichrist comes from Jewish stock.
Read Dan. 11:36,37 - "And the king {i.e., the Antichrist} shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvellous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation {i.e., the Tribulation} be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done. Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all."
Note the expression, "the God of his fathers." This expression strongly suggests that the person spoken of in Dan. 11 {the Antichrist} is a Jew and his fathers after the flesh were Abraham, Isaac and Jacob - for this is always the meaning of the term "the fathers" as used all through the Old Testament.
Note also the expression used in verse 37 - "the desire of women." This expression invariably refers to the hope of every Jewish woman that they would be granted the privilege of giving birth to the prophesied Messiah. Of course, we know that Mary was the mother of Jesus but, until the time his birth actually occured, it had been the hope {desire} of every Jewish mother to give birth to the Messiah.
Next turn to John 5:43 - "I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive."
The Jewish nation rejected Christ who was descended from Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob but if another of the same Abrahamic stock {a Jew} comes in his own name, they will receive him. It is highly unlikely that the Jews would accept a Gentile messiah!
