Last weekend, following the NHRA National event at Las Vegas, Steven tested at "The Strip" in order to obtain his Alcohol license. Steven made two runs on Monday, the first into the strong crosswind that was strong at 60 feet, but got out of the groove and hit the line at 6.57. Needing to run better than 6.30 and faster than 220 miles per hour, Steven’s second run was even stronger at 6.28 at 228 MPH. Hopefully Steven will make a similar run in two weeks during qualifying at the last Top Eliminator West race of the season.

Last weekend Steven pulled off his first win in an alcohol funny car. He mowed through the eight car ladder as the number one qualifer after running into sand trap and broken oil line problems. During the week he and the team had only a few days to get the car ready to test in Las Vegas following the NHRA national event this coming Halloween weekend. Steven will be attempting to upgrade his racing license by breaking 6.30 seconds and 220 miles per hour twice on Monday.
