James 5:7-10
Mood:  a-ok
Now Playing: Kelly Clarkson
Topic: bible verse
"Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw nigh to God, and He will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double-minded. Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up." James 5:7-10
Meaning: If we humble ourselves and repent, God will make us Great. The more we love Him, the more He will love us. If you cleanse yourself in His Name, we will be cleansed moreover. The closer we allow ourselves to be to Him, the closer we will be. Isn't that wonderful? *sigh*

Dear God,
Help me to be closer to you, help me to humble myself in you.
Thank you for all these amazing blessings in my life. At points in time, I wonder if I would be able to do it all by myself, and think "why?" but then, I realize, YOU are the one who helped me with it, without that steady hand on my shoulder, I would be nowhere. Thank you for guiding me so well.
I pray for safety, peace, joy, thanksgiving and happiness for all beings this coming Holy Week.
AMEN

"When we look in a mirror, we see our real face with all it's imperfections and blemishes. We see things that should be remedied, impurities that need to be removed. As long as we are holding the mirror, we wish ourselves to be different, and we make plans to change. However, when the mirror is taken away, we gradually forget our resolutions; and all our good intentions dissappear. When the preaching is over, many Christians too often forget the nesecity of repentance. When we look in the mirror of God's Word, we see not only what we are but what we should be." That is from somewhere in James. Possibly James 1:22-24
I found it when i was looking at Jessica Lynn's Musings (her web journal). It inspired me to write this entry. Isn't it amazing how God loves us no matter what we do? How he lets us start off anew? Every time we make a mistake, if we're smart enought to repent (beg for forgiveness and never do it again) then *poof*! We start over!
What Jessica Lynn says is this: "I fail constently. When I take the mirror of the Word of God down, I become comfortable with what my heart looks like. I become ok with myself. And then comes the ups and downs... I feel like a yo-yo, up and down up and down... back and forth... when it stops I'm to dizzy to see strait and must wait until my head clears. And begin again. I must not take the mirror down."

Father, Holy Spirit, Christ,
I want to grow in You. I want to love You with all my Heart, Soul and Mind. But I need you to help me do this. Model me in the image of Christ so that I may follow Him.
Help me to have Words of Wisdom and Knowledge. I want to prophecy for you, I need help. Let the Holy Spirit in me Speak in Tognues to honour and serve You. And when people ask about You, let the Spirit guide me in asnwering, so that I may know what to say.
AMEN

Here's a few lyrics I remember from praise music:
Trust in the Lord,
With all your heart,
Lean not on your own understanding
In all of your ways,
Exault him on high
And He will make your path straight.
Don't worry about tomorrow,
He's got it under control
Just trust in the Lord
With all your heart,
And he will carry you through.

Isn't that a pretty song? I think so. I luv praise music. It's a lot more soulfoul than most of the music in the Hymnal. No, Im not saying that the Hymnal sucks, just a lot of the songs dont make me feel like im worshipping Him. It just feels bland. Some of hte songs though are awesome!
But anyways, God Bless you!
