Delhi

We arrived at The Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi 15 minutes ahead of schedule. We went through Immigration and found our luggage waiting for us; this is definitely a first in our experience in any airport in the world, we went through Customs without any delay and went outside. My cousin, whose house we were going to spend a couple of days in, was no where in sight. Just as we started thinking of alternatives he showed up and informed us that the airport authorities had given him the wrong arrival time. The next day we went to watch the son et lumiere at the Red Fort. It was a cold night and we were all bundled and suffering from jet lag. This did not prevent us from staying wide-awake for the entire duration of the performance, about 1.5 hours. The history from the time the Fort was built to the present, was narrated clearly and emphasized by the lights and the sound effects. A definite "must see", though we stongly recommend seeing the Red Fort first in day light.

We rested the next day and took the oppertunity to do some entrtaining of friends and relatives.
