Chapter 3 Evaulating and Selecting Literature for childrenLiteracy elements are plot,characterization,setting, and theme. Chapter 4 Artist and their Illusrations Visual Elements are line,color,shape, and texture. Chapter 5 Picture Books Picture books are books that tell stories. Examples:Where Wild Things Are,An Odd Number,The Sparrows Nest, and The Love for Three Oranges. Chapter 6 Tradtional Literature Tradional literature are folktales,fables,and myths from other cultures. Literature are "stories" that grow out of the lives and imagination of the people, or folk.They are forms of traditonal literature which began as attempt to expain and understand the natural and spritual world.
