Dee Turnell

Vinci and Dee Turnell were dancing partners in Pittsburgh, PA and Detroit, MI in 1942 and 1943. The photo at upper left shows Dee (on the right) with Cyd Charisse, taken from the movie "Words and Music," filmed in 1948, in which they performed a dance number entitled "On Your Toes."

The photo on the right is from her portfolio, used in general correspondence and promotion, and considered a signature photo.

The picture at the bottom shows the costumes they wore in the ballet version of the musical number "on Your Toes."
