This was the advertisment that I followed through with my buddy Eddie.

At the top are two standard '2 feet tanks' measuring;
22"L x 12"W x 14"H.

With one inch from the top rim and without substrate, capacity should be about 61 Litres or 16 US Gal.

Since the waterworks are upping the cholramine into our pipes, I'm considering using one of the tanks as a reservoir/holding tank, which should be sufficient for a 40% water change on the custom-size shallow 4footers.

I haven't decided what to do with the other 2footer yet.

The other 3 tanks measures; 48"L x 18"W x 10"H

Filled to a water height of 9.5 inches and no substrate, volume should be 135 Litres 36 Gal.  Nice aquarium calculator here.

None of the overhead filters are included, and I'll probably be using air-driven box or sponge filters.  My 13 year old HiBlow pump is still going strong and is more than adequate to handle triple the tank capacity.

However, I'm very, VERY undecided....

Firstly I have a standard 4footer which can replace the top 2 smaller tanks for a larger reservoir.  The 4footer measures 48"L x 18"W x 18"H (240L/64 gal).  I can have it partitioned into 3 section with a filtered flow-through bulkhead near the bottom of the partition.

Secondly, I need MORE partitions!  If I have to setup individual specie tanks, I'll definitely need way more tanks!

Acrylic partitions looks like a viable option at this point.

Thirdly, it'd be quite a waste to seal up the standup overflow pipe.
What about a centralized flow-through filtration? (I see alot of BBS getting filtered tho!).

Any suggestions??

What I'd like to do...

In tank "A", six partitions would be nice for pair and trio of breeders.  With 48" to work from, I'd end up with 6 partitioned segments measuring 8" from the front and 18" from the side.

Tank "B" would probably be partitioned into either 4 (12") or 6 segments (8").

Bottom tank "C" ought to be a fry/grow out tank.  Not sure how many partitions tho.

With the exception of Tank "C", which has fixed glass partitions, the others are from frosted plexiglass panels.

Reason being that plexiglass panels are removable with clip-on holders and this has gaps or slots cut into them... frys will either slip through or get wedged into the gaps.

The rack I'm replacing would be this 'fish rack' which previously served duty as display shelf, bookshelf and LP vinyl rack.

I hope to reorganise my 'chaotic little corner' into something more pleasant.

More importantly, that the new setup will reduce maintenance time.
