Mary was born in 1776 in Hanover County, Virginia and died sometime before 1827 in Cajuicas, San Luis Obispo County, California. She is buried in the Morrow Bay Cemetary in California.
Shows on the 1830 Bartholomew County, Indiana census. And the 1840 Monroe County, Missouri census along with Charles and Eli Jr.In 1845, he went to Oregon by land and then to California by sea.
Between 1848 and 1849, he was a miner and trader at Mormon Isl and Coloma.
Between 1850 and 1862, he was a stockraiser until the floods of 1861-1862.

Hester Anna later married Ceborn Howell Essary on July 10, 1878 in San Antonio, Bexar County, Texas.
