Hey people. A few original and miscellaneous gallery updates -- Ordered Chaos has an actual link banner now! -- and I'm waiting on a beta to respond before I put up my new Trigun one-shot, Bird on a Wire. It's a Wolfwood songfic. Brace yourself for the angst.
I also wanted to say that I don't post on Xanga anymore. I'm sure anyone who was really paying attention would have figured that out already, what with my last post on xanga saying as much, but I just noticed today that this page still linked to xanga. Not much to say, just updating so no one thinks I'm dead. Library redesign is partially through; Trigun and original stories are up, but nothing else is. Gallery's updated (I think? or it will be... I dunno, I've lost track. Well, I have drawn new art in any case. I'll have to go check and see if it's up yet and if it's not I'll get it up soon.)
Am working on illustrating Earth to Earth with a combination of my own drawing and scans from the manga. Several title banner illustrations are finished and I'm in the process of coloring them, which is turning out to be bloody harder than I thought it would be, dammit. But it'll get done sooner or later.
Chapter 12 of EtE is finally written. Waiting for a beta-read before I post it. Possibly two. I don't like it myself, but if more than one other person does like it, then I'll assume it's all in my head (as usual) and go ahead with posting it.
That's all for now... probably won't write again until after MidSouthCon here in a couple of weeks. Here's hoping to making some new geeky friends, eh?

I'm redesigning the library, so there won't be any stories available for a little while. I'm hoping to get chapter 9 of EtE up at the same that I put up the final library design. (It's not mind-blowing or anything, it's just a little cleaner and better-organized than it was.) And I'm going to try to put up a lot more of my older stories and get some different fandoms in there.
I may not get around to finishing all of this for quite a while. I have a lot of work to do tomorrow and there's no telling when I'll have a significant amount of free time to fiddle with my site. *shrug* Have to wait and see.
Ch. 9 of EtE is almost done, but it's extremely long and kind of wordy, so be forewarned.

Chapter 6 of Earth to Earth written and posted! wOOt! Fanfiction.Net is down for upgrades until Tuesday, but I'll get it up there as soon as possible.
Still working on site changes, but the constant stream of html is starting to make my eyes cross, so I'm taking a break for a day or two to get a heavy dose of reading in before my Thanksgiving break starts running down.
I'll start work on chapter 7 of EtE as soon as I have time to digest Trigun Maximum vol. 3, which I just read. Man, I love Yasuhiro Nightow. I mean, seriously. How can you not think Trigun is the best manga ever? It's just so different from everything else out there -- and the attention to detail is to die for. *silent awe, worships the ground Y. Nightow walks on*
But I digress. I need to get some sleep so I won't sleep unti some ungodly hour of the afternoon tomorrow.

Website updates of DOOM. I'm working on a complete redesign. Got rid of the frames (obviously), because frames are evil and should die. Not sure what I'm going to do yet, but it's going to be interesting to find out.
Library updates -- got chapters 3, 4, and 5 of Earth to Earth up. They were already up on FF.N, but oh well. Here it's just more personal.
Gallery updates -- besides getting a truckload of new pics scanned, I'm working on making gallery links that are somewhat more interesting than plain text links. Hopefully I'll be doing that for a lot of stuff around here, if I can just find the time. I've got a week off of school right now, so I'm gonna be working my butt off on this site and my stories.

Trigun gallery updated. Not much, just 2 pics. Got the Trigun Art Book at DragonCon, so I've been teaching myself anime style from it... I'm getting much better. Figuring out how to place the facial features is a total nightmare, especially at tilted angles, but that's part of the fun. ^_^.

Probably no more updates for a while here. I'm working on costuming and schoolwork, and I don't multitask well, so website has low priority on my list. I just wanted to get those stupid galleries off my mind.

I take it back. The parental units aren't so evil. ^_^. I'm being allowed internet until 10 because I got some work done today. (Granted, not a lot, but it's still a start. I'll probably be able to think better after midnight, which is when I plan on finishing the reading log for Animal Farm.) So I took the opportunity to get a bunch of gallery stuff updated. The Harry Potter gallery is finally up and running! Only one pic so far, but I'm still working, so no worries.

Why the conflicted mood? Ano, I'm resigned to the face that I shall have no internet whatsoever for a whole week. I'm being disconnected in a last-ditch attempt by the parental units to force me to work on my summer reading project. It's probably not the worst idea, it's just that the part of me that's at all social (it's small, but very loud) is screaming out and rebelling against the idea of losing my only way of talking to my friends. I won't even get to meet Robbie at the walking track, because he'll be gone to Panama City for the week. I'll just be stuck with a lot of empty notebooks, three unappealing books to read, and no connection to the world/my readers/my website/my xanga/all of the RPGs that are waiting on me to reply. Life is sucky.
I'll just do the effing work. I was going to do it anyway. It probably would have taken a lot longer, and I'd have saved at least one book for the last week at the end of summer, but the damn junk would've gotten done. I've never not done my homework. I may throw it across the room a lot, but I do it anyway.
At least I don't have another pukefest like The Scarlet Letter this year. Not looking forward to re-reading Animal Farm so I can do the reading log, but at least it's actually a good book, unlike some summer reading assignments... *sticks finger down throat and makes fake gagging noise*
Can't go wrong with Shakespeare and Wells, though (excluding Romeo & Juliet, which is the most phenomenally irritating play ever written). Midsummer Night's Dream and The Island of Dr. Moreau will at least be decent reads.
*stares longingly at 'Salem's Lot and Lord of the Rings...* Ahh, the things I'd be reading if I didn't have this stupid thing called "public education" hanging over my head...
Ano, tangent aside. The other half of my split mood is due to the fact that I ACTUALLY DID A REALLY GOOD CG JOB ON A PICTURE FOR ONCE! I colored "Heart-Shaped Box," the last KnivesxLegato yaoi picture I drew. The last time I did a decent CG coloring job on a pic was when I did Nightcrawler's hand holding a rosary (which is up at my Elfwood gallery but not here -- it'll be in the Misc. Gallery whenever I get it up). Heart-Shaped Box is MILES better, though -- it was my first attempt at using layers, and I lurvs them to death now. *huggles the layers function and the multiply blending mode* ^_^.!!! The picture is up in the Trigun gallery, so go check it out and drool over the freaking awesome satin sheets. Those sheets are the best part of the whole pic. *stares at piccy with big starry anime eyes*
Oh yeah, the obligatory objectionable-content warning. *rolls eyes* The pic is rated R for blood, nudity, implied violence & sexual situation... yadda yadda yadda. Honestly, I don't know if anyone reads this place who'd care. No one talks to me. The only people who ever look here are Megan, Em-chan, Robbie and the parental units, as far as I know. Four new pictures up in the Trigun gallery, and loads of others uploaded onto the site. I just have to finish the gallery index pages for them and we'll be in business. Harry Potter and Misc. galleries currently have at least half a dozen pics each in the metaphorical waiting room.
Just a warning -- two of the new Trigun pics are a little on the citrusy side. KnivesxLegato yaoi. They're clearly marked if you want to avoid them, though, so there shall be no flaming torches or pitchfork-brandishing going on. *pointed look*

Happy, happy day! Not. I really don't like sleeping until 2:30... but that's what I get for staying up til dawn, so I need to just staple my mouth shut about it, really.
Ano, Scene 2 of Lost and Found is up in the library. Still rated PG for the time being, so don't worry. Scene 3 is in progress, and chapter 3 of Earth to Earth is still inching towards the finish line. (I wrote a single sentence of it last night. Woot!)

Michael Moore, Nirvana and R.E.M. make a really strange combo. *cocks head to side, gives world a funny look* I think I've been misinterpreted a bit by the parental units today. Fahrenheit 9/11 didn't depress me or shock me. (See my Xanga for the full reaction to it.) Nothing like that. It was almost exactly what I had expected it to be, which is why I spent an entire day preparing myself for the mental and emotional whiplash I already knew it was going to give me. So, I'm fine, I really am -- all that mute, glassy-eyed wandering after we got home was just something I had predicted would happen, and I was right. The only reason I didn't speak was because my throat wouldn't cooperate with me (I cried on the drive home and once more in my room that afternoon), and because I couldn't put together a complete sentence.
But since I got my barriers up before watching it, I've already recovered. I feel fine. I'm serious. Stop needling at me. ^_^. I'm in a funky headspace, but not in a bad way.
ANYWAY! Yeah, I know I'm just boring everyone who isn't Mom or Dad. *waves* Hi, yeah, I know you're reading this. Mwuahahaha!
Ano, the real reason I meant to post was to say that I'm working on site updates again. Gallery, mostly. Right now there's the beginnings of a new gallery up -- Hand Fetish -- just a fun spot for all the pics of hands I draw for no reason. I'm working on the Harry Potter gallery right now. I'll post another note when I get that and/or anything else up. (I want to have one new or updated page a day -- that's my goal for this place.)

Started a new Trigun fic, hopefully a rather short one. *crosses fingers* The story is divided into two acts, and subdivided into scenes. At the moment I'm thinking there will probably be two or three scenes per act. Short scenes, I might add. I want this thing to go ahead and get out of my head so that I can clear up space for Earth to Earth again. *scowls at inspiration-usurping new fic*
The story is VashxWolfwood yaoi (slash), but the boylove aspect is toned down for the first act, to allow for average shounen-ai readers to get a taste of VxW without it being lemon-flavored. I'm giving no promises regarding the second act, however. It's rated high R for a reason.
Anywho, the first scene of Act 1 is up in the library! And in other fic news -- I'm so close to finishing chapter 3 of Earth to Earth... mere paragraphs from freedom... someone kick my muses, PLEASE! *whimper* Make Tay finish this bloody thing so I can put my mind at rest!

BOW DOWN TO ME, MERE MORTALS. MWUAHAHAHAHA! Seriously, I just did more work on this website in one night than I've ever done before. The Gallery is all reworked, the Trigun gallery has been updated (with lots more on the way), and the MidSouth/DeepSouth Con gallery is up at last, with a full report from the con and a grand total of 45 photos! *takes a bow* Yes, thank you, thank you ladies and gentlemen. ^_^.
I also have a new Xanga weblog, the link to which is now up on the Links page. I'm going to see if I can add it to the list of links up here, too. *points at Library, Gallery, & Misc. up above* I'll probably just post bloggy-type stuff there from now on, and save this space for site updates.
Oh, and sorry about the Reviews page. I lied. I ended up getting sidetracked and never got around to writing a review of Prisoner of Azkaban. I may still write reviews of stuff, but that page won't be up until I do get something written for it. Maybe I'll do the first volume of Trigun Maximum... hrmm.

Oh. My. Freaking. God.
Was Harry Potter 3 good, you ask? Well, IT BLOODY ROCKED. I'm still recovering... *deep breaths, deep breaths* The first hour of PoA was better than all of SS/PS and CoS COMBINED. Not that I had been all that thrilled with SS/PS, and CoS was only marginally better -- but I hereby declare Alfonso Cuaron to be one of my new heros. *worships* He took what Columbus had made into a straight, middle-of-the-road, Disney-esque, kiddie movie series and turned it completely on its head -- Cuaron made a REAL movie, just like PoA was a REAL book after the slightly-faux-philosophical adventures of the first two HP books.
Actually, this movie has finally inspired me to go create a new page here at the site -- there's now a Reviews page in the Misc section. I can't begin to describe this movie in a single blog entry, so go there to read the extended ramblings of this obsessed fan. ^_^;
PoA gave me the HP writing bug again, actually. Even before I saw it, I spent so much time thinking about it that before I knew it, I was five pages into a short-ish slashfic about Harry living with Sirius and Remus and dealing with their relationship. And now that I've seen the movie... I just have to say... *drool* Okay, so Siri and Reme looked absolutely NOTHING like my mental images, but then, who ever DOES, in movies? (LotR aside, because we all know that that cast was just too perfect for words.) But still, I had been worried about Oldman and Thewlis in those roles, seeing as I only knew Oldman from The Fifth Element (good scenery chewing but not much in the way of real character), and Thewlis from Dragonheart (big-eyed baby David Thewlis -- I swear, he looks about 15, and his character, who happens to be both evil and stupid, has about as much maturity as a 6-year-old). So, with only those references to draw on, I had to admit to being more than a little leery of two of my favorite characters of all time being played by a manic evil overlord with poor taste in minions and a selfish, bratty wannabe king with half a heart.
And now, having seen the movie, I am forced to swallow my words, throw out my doubts with the trash, and bow down to the phenomenal acting portrayal of the most awesome werewolf professor ever created. *takes off hat to David Thewlis* Oldman didn't butcher his role as Sirius, either, although Remus was by far my favorite of the Marauders in this movie. Peter was nondescript -- the human element of his role was played down a lot; I guess they just needed a strict black-agaist-white villian to counter the extreme gray areas that are Sirius and Remus.
No hint of Voldie, either! That's what I always liked about this particular chapter in the Harry Potter saga -- there was no need for an ultimate evil or any contrived villains, because Sirius and Remus carried the whole weight of the conflict by themselves, and did it with such beauty and elegance and heart-rending pain that I absolutely fell in love with both of them the moment I laid eyes on their descriptions.
Ack! I'm reviewing again. Can't do the whole thing here, I have to save some inspiration for the Reviews page. ^_^. Well, go check that out. I'm planning on reviewing some other new stuff I've been reading now that I'm on the subject, so Trigun, Trigun Maximum, Fruits Basket and Gravitation manga reviews might all be up within the week.
