Iraq And Back, 1990-1991
During Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm I was deployed with Bravo Battery, 2nd Battalion, 1st ADA (HAWK). I sketched out quite a few cartoons while over in Saudi Arabia and found myself in Iraq when the war ended. These cartoons still suffer from the use of fine marker only, but the composition was greatly improved from the days back at Germany. I used them to illustrate a manuscript about my unit called Iraq And Back, but I was unable to get it published. Instead, I got a contract to do On Air Defense. For the most part these went unpublished as well.
