Serenai-The Home of the Denya-Che
Can you believe it? I actually updated this site a little. I had a little free time and I was looking at the site and I was like.. damn this is like horrible.. So I fixed it a little. I’ll probably make it all cool and stuff but currently it is now upgraded to less horrible stauts. Well, enjoy, or try to anyway. ^_^
Denya-Che
Denya-che Basic Information
The Denya-Che are a race of beings that are phenomenally advanced. Their race created some of the most powerful spaceships in the universe. However, this had nothing to do with why they were feared. The Denya-Che had special abilites unlike any other race. Their psychic abilites are uncharted on human scales and have connections to powerful energies. Ki, the energy within, Hentaro, the energy of good, and Deterra, the energy of evil.
The Denya-Che are taught how to use their psychic abilities from 1 year after they are born to at least they are 16 (2 years old to 28 years old on Earth). From there they go into certain special schools to develop whatever skills they wish to continue in. Different schoolings range from Telekinetics to Micro-Electronic construction.
Denya-che Schooling Information
Each Denya-che usually discovers what type of schooling they will continue on by age 10. At this point, each child begins making plans as to which classes they will take to better prepare them; very rarely are there children who decide not to become something. Many children aspire to become a soldier. To become a soldier children need to have completed at least two of the combat classes, to the highest degree. This usually takes several years after completion of the beginning psychic training. Schoolings accepted by the Denya-che Guard are Telekinetic, Psychokinetic, Arcane, Espionage, Hand-to-Hand, Weaponry, Mobile Armor control, and Spiritual. Each school has abilities that are very difficult to master, but is very worthwhile when completed.
Telekinetic: the power to move something by thinking about it, without the application of physical force. Also can be used to create invisible walls at higher levels of mastery. The combat applications of this ability are used mostly for simple reversal of momentum and for shielding against special attacks.
Psychokinetic: the control over elemental energies using only one’s mind power. This is most useful for exploiting weaknesses in armor. However, it can be used quite effectively on hand-to-hand fighters as well.
Arcane: this is the most mysterious and the most powerful schooling a Denya-che could take. This class is very secretive in its teachings and for good reason. Some spells can last indefinitely and can create a radical effect on the universe.
Espionage: the practice of watching the words and conduct of others, to make discoveries, as spies or secret emissaries. Those who excel in this usually become assassins and practice stealth for the destruction of enemy formations by rear surprise invasions.
Hand-to-Hand: Fighting at close quarters. The Denya-che usually prefer to fight in this manner due to their minimal reaction times and their other special abilities.
Weaponry: Any combat consisting of using any instrument of offensive or defensive applications. Weapons most often used by the Denya-che are swords or daggers and very few projectile weapons. Because the Denya-che have a strict honor code they refuse to use a weapon against an unarmed opponent, or a weapon of superior ability. A denya-che would not use a gun against a sword wielder no matter how well the wielder could fight. Weaponry is not a highly attended schooling, but those who do attend it usually take Arcane and Psychokinetic schooling as well.
Mobile Armor Control: The control of animate mechanized infantry, whether it is done by actually piloting from within, or psychically controlled from outside. This is another rarely used method of combat due to the needlessness of it. The Mechs are only used in situations where other Mechs are used, and there are very rarely any populaces that have Mech. Infantry strong enough to pose a threat to event the unarmed fighters.
Spiritual: The use and control of spiritual energies. The three aforementioned energies: Ki, Deterra, and Hentaro, are the energies that the Denya-che wield. Use of this is extremely effective, as it does not violate their honor codes. Almost every hand-to-hand student takes the spiritual classes and becomes a “Standard Soldier.”
Other important schoolings are Diplomacy, Construction, Computer Competency, Micro-Construction, Micro-Electronic Construction, Micro-Compositional Electronics, Interplanetary Study, Dimensional Travel, Time-Space Continuity, Bio-Mechanical Engineering, and Universal Intelligence.
Diplomacy: The art or practice of conducting international relations, as in negotiating alliances, treaties, and agreements. This class is taken quite often at least one member of each family. It is important for Denya-che to be able to communicate effectively. The Denya-che believe that without words, worlds would dwell in chaos.
Construction: The art, trade, or work of building. The Denya-che do not really have a lot of buildings but dwell within one of 6 massive towers or the floating city on their planet. However, for repairs and accompanying other civilizations with their buildings the Denya-che do have an average amount of students take this class.
Computer Competency: the quality of being adequately or well qualified physically and intellectually for use of computers. The Denya-che use a lot of computers for interacting with other races and developing for their own systems of control in their dwellings. Most Denya-che take this class and eventually become adept at using computers on their own.
Micro-Construction The construction of microscopic devices and circuitry. The Denya-che try to conserve a lot of space, thus only living in towers instead of across the planet. To conserve space in their towers a lot of the automatic functions are performed by microscopic computers and devices implanted into walls and into other devices. To build systems of such a miniscule size takes a lot of practice and patience. The necessary training the students would need would be taken in this class.
Interplanetary Study: The observation and recording of other civilizations on other planets in other systems and galaxies. The Denya-che try to be the protectors of the universe by watching out for weaker races and monitoring the stronger ones. Monitoring the entire universe is not an easy task and they often miss entire races and civilizations. Many students take classes in this area for the knowledge of languages and cultures that they might travel to. Soldiers are often the largest contributor to this course.
Dimensional Travel: The ability to travel in and out of dimensions to reach destinations. The Denya-che have not yet found a safe way to travel through dimensions using their technology. They are taught to use magic to plane shift rather than use the few discovered technologies that can cause damage to the universal barriers. The class involves mostly research and where and how to plane shift to get anywhere in the universe.
Time-Space Continuity: The tie that binds time and space together, whether actual or fictitious, is debated and researched in this class. Many of the highest scholars take a lot of time to address this topic. To the Denya-che as well as many other races, control of time would result in an undeniable edge against other races. The Denya-che have been working on it for quite a long time with no end in sight. Their hopes are to get it first and not allow others to use the technology in an ill-mannered fashion.
Bio-Mechanical Engineering: The use of living machinery or connecting machinery to something that is already living. The true definition is more how parts of the body work, but the Denya-che use it quite differently, obviously. Cybernetic implants, although frowned upon, are sometimes used to repair wounds that result in death. Another use for this technology is in the Mechanized Infantry units. Connecting a Denya-che directly to the unit can result in an outstanding attack and defense unit. Combining the dexterity, abilities, thought speed, and knowledge of the pilot with the strength, endurance, and weaponry of the Mech. creates an almost invincible fighter. The final use for Bio-mechanics is creating machinery that can live among people. This is one of the lesser researched abilities, but it has its strengths nonetheless. The ability to program a living creature seems morally wrong and is hardly tampered with. All of this is studied in this class making it one of the longest courses.
Universal Intelligence: Being the universal bodyguard, the Denya-che have to observe other civilizations more closely. The Universal Intelligence, as they call it, sends well-trained espionage soldiers to other planets to gain critical information. These agents are usually ordered not to interfere unless no other alternative can be found. The agents often live among the other races doing what is necessary to blend in. The classes that are taken here are confidential and are only taken after espionage classes are completed.
Abilities of the Denya-che
The true power of the Denya-Che actually lies in their abilites to manipulate energy. The powers that all Denya-Che have are their ability to manipulate pain, to change to a Litan, and to begin their elite manipulation nicknamed Dynamic Denche.
Total Manipulation: The Denya-che manipulate any substance that enters their body. This allows them to perform many feats. The Denya-che can change water into hydrogen and oxygen when necessary. They can easily breath underwater after adapting to the necessary changes. Another useful ability is manipulating poisons that enter their body. When a toxin is identified in the air, food, or water that they breathe, eat, or drink respectively they can immediately secrete saliva to allow for the break down into less harmful components. This ability also contributes to the astonishing efficiency of their immune system. The Denya-che never catch diseases that might destroy hundreds of other races. It is a very rare occurrence that a Denya-che dies to a disease rather than old age or a battle wound.
Constant Tolerance: The Denya-Che manipulate their tolerance for pain as they take it. If they are hit by something, they use that pain in two ways. First, by increasing their tolerance for pain to that level, meaning anything of equal or lesser strength will not phase them. The second, using the energy put into them from that hit, and adding it to the next hit that they throw at their target. This often makes it difficult for a Denya-Che to know if it is hurting something or not.
Litan Transformation: The next important ability of Denya-Che are their ability to transform into a Litan. A litan is a powerful animal that is similar to a lion, in that the males have a mane, yet are striped like a tiger, and use hunting tactics similar to a tiger. When a Denya-Che transforms, he or she chooses a size deemed worthy, but the minumum is six feet long. The only exception to this is when a child Denya-Che transforms into a Litan for the first time, usually no taller than themself. Afterwards, even a child discovers how to control the size.
Dynamic Denche: The final ability of all Denya-Che is their ability to manipulate all energy in their body to begin an exponential increase of energy. Within seconds the power of a Denya-Che can rise to almost any number, with speed following in unison. Their ability, comes from examining every function that their body is doing, and sapping energy. Everything in their body from the proteins in the hair to even blood underneath their toenails submits all possible energy. This begins to cause minor transformations in the Denya-Che. First, their hair will change to a light blue, then to even lighter blue with a silver tint, until the hair turns completely silver and actually reflects light. With this, they become so indulged in their fighting that they forget to feel. They often forget why they are fighting and what they are supposed to be doing until they finally destroy whatever their target is. When their hair is a reflective silver, they get to the point where they feel, absolutely nothing. No emotion, no pain, no joy. If they reach this point and don't relax within 24 hours, the body becomes so unstable that life functions cease and they die. This is such a dangerous maneuver that it often takes an extreme amount of anger, confusion, or pain before the Denya-Che will even consider using it.
Serenaii Planet Information
A long time ago the ancestors of the Denya-che were on a war-torn planet. Several races battled to reign supreme. The Denya-che split into two groups. Those that planned to take the planet by force, and those who wished to leave in hopes of finding a better place to live. The group that left the planet split into two groups. No one knows if the two groups met up or not, but only one group made it to Serenaii. The small transports that the Denya-che escaped on were hardly made for long travel across the universe yet they persevered and after a long and difficult time found a planet that seemed to call out to them. The planet shined with an enchanting glow and without hesitation the landed. The world was mostly barren, like a frozen tundra with very little plant life and even less animal life. The Denya-che wondered why they were compelled to come to such a desolate place and soon discovered what the glow came from. A strange silver material emanated with a magnificent glow near the equator of the planet. It was as if the planet was wounded by a dagger from a godly war. The Denya-che had very little knowledge of the strange substance, yet began to build with it as it was the only real material that could sustain the harsh winds. After years of examination the metal was found to have amazing properties. When an electric pulse went through it, the metal could actually create more energy than used. A method of perpetual motion changed their world view. It was apparent that they could use the metal to provide for any amount of power needs with only a small fragment. At this point the Denya-che began research in several areas and were able to terraform the planet. They made Serenaii into a beautiful planet filled with thousands of plants and animals to flourish. To preserve this beautiful creation they only staked out six circles across the land that formed a large hexagon. Upon these circles massive towers were built. Each tower housed over a billion and was a pier for the floating city, Marilliya. The city was the only place that several buildings were placed being that it wouldn’t affect the land below it much at all. The buildings were made to allow light to shine brightly to the other side so that the plant-life wouldn’t be hindered by the lack of light. The Denya-che thought of everything to make their planet more beautiful than anything could envision.
History of the Denya-Che
Thousands of years ago, the Denya-Che flourished on a beautiful planet called Serenaii. They never had problems with other races because any other people would fear them. They were on the highest point of any diplomatic scale. Respected, revered, and feared.
This was true until one dire day in history. A horrible person was in charge of the En-jins on another planet. This man had sent En-jins to Serenaii to pillage the civilization and take the planet so it could be sold. All of the En-jins that had been sent there were destroyed. After not hearing from any of the soldiers who went to the planet, he examined it and feared that this race would overpower him. He knew that it would take too long to desocialize them and make them work for him as the En-jins did so he needed to destroy them. He gathered many powerful En-jins and convinced them they were needed for a noble deed to ensure the power of his people. An army of En-jins went to the planet and attempted an assault. While the army of En-jins fought the Denya-Che, the elders sensed and ominous coming, the scientists recorded a tremor in the planet, and the Royal Family could feel an overwhelming cry of pain. Serenaii's core had been charged to explode more powerfully than a supernova. A cryogenic freezing plant sent several of their subjects to remote areas all over the universe, hoping that the race could survive. Also the King of the Denya-Che, who knew more magic than any other known being, managed to cast a spell to protect any Denya-Che who managed to survive the destruction. All Denya-Che who could escape would never age until they could rebuild their numbers on a new planet. Against the will of the king a few of the survivors never were able to forgive the En-jins for such treachery and hunted them for years. Most of the others felt that extermination was wrong and tried to protect other races from extermination by spying on the En-jins and following them to their target planets. Some of the Denya-Che were so wrapped up in what they believed their mission was that they forgot to seek each other out and were lost trillions of light years away from each other, with little to no hope of ever finding another survivor again.
