If a teacher does not show up for class ten minutes after its supposed start, students get to leave. That is a very common unwritten rule. But unwritten rules are not in reality, school rules. This would explain why you get punished if you skip class when the teacher was late.

Another unwritten rule I’m sure you’re all familiar with now is;
No bandanas are to be worn in school or on school property.
I call this statement an unwritten rule because, there is no written proof anywhere by law or school regulations which claims, this is actually a rule.

I’ve made my point clear in the past that a bandana is not a hat, a belly shirt or short shorts so it does not offend the Gorsebrook Dress Code in any way. In fact, it compliments the dress code by preventing embarrassing situations.

No weapons are aloud in school. This was other point brought up when speaking with the principal about this subject. Honestly, is a bandana a weapon? It really brings a person to think they just want to make up a reason to back up their so called rule. So they can be right, once again. Now, I’m not stereotyping that all teachers want to be right, but I’ve gotten the same response from every teacher who likes this rule, Which can be easily translated into saying, “Just because I said so.”

Speaking of stereotyping, something else I was told, bandanas are worn to represent you’re in a gang. Ha! If that was the reason every one worn a bandana it would be partly a religious reason now wouldn’t it? “I wear this to represent who I am and what I stand for.”

But not every one wears a bandana to say, “I’m in a gang.” There’s a very small amount of people that wear bandanas who are actually in a gang. Leaving a very large percentage of people stereotyped.

Stereotyping is not the best thing to do, another thing teachers try to make sure we don’t do.

Well think about this; they’re tell us don’t to stereotype. Then they force the bandana rule for the gang reason, yeah, I think it makes since to call them hypocrites.

For those who force the rule & agree with it; this rule makes no scene because it has no purpose. Once again to the higher powers of the school, they’re brilliance is making them go back on they’re word.
