One Last Time
by, Francine Macaulay

Darkness quickly rolls in and sadness takes over.
emotions are pulling to the wrong road
things like this cant be helped by a lucky clover
there's no way out when feelings are this strong

Door slamming behind you, walking into the dark cold night
a bag at your side, shoes on your feet money in your pocket
there's a yell across the street, breaking into a fight
running away as fast as you can but its no use.

An arm warps around you, holding you close
you discover another that soon covers your mouth
there's no help, why are you the one they chose
looking up at a tall man, you feel the liquid puncher in

Falling to the ground there's a sharp pain in your arm
eye lids feeling heavier by the second, no holding back
what is going to come out of this, what sort of harm?
slowly fainting away your eyes close, leaving you unconscious

Waking up to a different smell and different place
your looks have changed and orders are given to you
stranding on the corner of the road tears go down your face
the first walks up to you and you walk into a dark room

Screams of pain fill the room after a while it's done
your back on the street waiting for the next to come
the money you have goes to him, money given to you...none
the morning rolls in and your gangs hides once again

Months pass your weak cold and viciously beat
this life isn't worth it, this world isn't fair
you don't want to be here no home is the street
what friends can you turn to? Who can you tell?

No guts to run away, no places you can hide
they're every where you turn. they're all you know
now it seems the easiest way out is suicide
one shot and it would all be done, just like that

But for now there's no way out, no running away
unloved, pained and the ruthlessness starts again
your prostitution journey continues it's anotherday
Foot steps approach you and the tears roll down your face...
one last time.
