DIANA A CELEBRATION Dayton Ohio 2006
Diana a Celebration made it's way to the midwest and since we have recently moved there I knew

that I had a chance to see the exhibition again. This time I took My 8 year old daughter,Brianna. We

got to the art Institute around 10 am,there was a long line but it seemed to move fairly quick. Once

inside we had a another line to wait in to purchase our tickets then another to wait to get in to the

exhibition.when you got in to the exhibition you were allowed to roam through it at your own pace . It

was wonderful to see Diana's wedding gown again and Brianna was just amazed by her long train.

She was fascinated by Diana's pet cat Marmalade and mentioned that he looked a bit like her cat

Tommy. I did notice a drawing that was done of lady Diana before her wedding. This portrait now

hangs In the National Portrait Gallery. I did like the fact that Diana's brief case was at a decent level

so that we could see some of her stationary and some of her private notes that she had taken down

during the landmines briefing in 1997. The dresses were just as beautiful as they were when Diana

wore them it was lovely to see them again and this time a little bit closer. Brie and I went to the gift

shop to make our purchases She chose a book called the Princess Treasury it is loaded with

interesting facts about Princess's all around the world and of course Diana is among them. It is a

beautiful book and suitable for all of Diana's little fans. I was really surprised to see that there were

lots of children among the crowds all very well behaved. Diana would have been pleased to see so

many children learning about her in a very respectful way. In the gift shop they were sold out of the

two ornaments that I had wanted to purchase but I did get the wedding shoe ornament and the

postcard set and the small exhibtion poster. Down stairs in the musuem gift shop I purchased a photo

pack of beautiful photo's of Diana's visit to Chicago in 1996. I was really dissappionted that they didnt

have any brocheres or newspapers about the exhibit for every one to take home with them. I was

able to take a few photos inside this time.
