HOWDY...I'm known far and wide as the Crazy Okie of Texas. These are just a few stories of my life, true stories, and they'll be spiced with just a smidgin...of what yuh might call...tall tales.
I've been a few things in life, that once yuh have been, you always will be. I'm a Marine, I'm a bonfide Texas cowboy, and I'm a bonfide Texas outlaw. Like I say once you have been, you always will be. The Good Lord'll never take em from me and the devil.....he's afraid tuh try. I've also been in the Army , I drive a truck an I ride a Harley Davidson.....I am a Texan..
WHAT!!! you a Texan an you call yourself Okie, Whuts the deal?? Well yuh see I was born in the far southwest corner of Oklahoma, just four miles from the Red River in what used to be old Greer County Texas. When I grew up cows, cotton, wheat,alfalfa, they was the main stay of life, same as the Texas Panhandle country. Whats four miles, no difference..
Texas and Oklahoma had a fight over which fork of the Red River was the dividin line, the Salt Fork on the north or the Prairie Dog fork on the south...Seems Texas lost an Oklahoma won...so yu might say I was born with what cha might call...dual citizenship...so here I am..oh yeah when I crossed the Red...they wud'nt no water in it, so ah aint no wet back thank ye..
Come back n visit often as these pages are still under construction. I will hopefully be adding a story or two a week as time permits. Be sure to check each tale because they keep growing as I remember them. Oh yes sign the guest book an say howdy..
