THE POPE AND ISLAM

The pope kisses The Koran

Here is a photo of the pope at the end of an audience with Patriarch Raphael I of Iraq, where the pope "bowed" to the Muslim holy book, The Koran, presented to him by the delegation.

Did the pope, who in fact is the supposed "infallible" voice of the Roman Catholic Church not remember what The Koran has to say about Jesus and the nature of God? Does he not know how The Koran demotes Jesus the Messiah to "only a messenger of Allah" status?

"O people of the Scripture! Do not exaggerate in your religion nor utter aught concerning Allah save the truth. The Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, was only a messenger of Allah, and His word which he conveyed unto Mary, and a spirit [sic.] from Him. So believe in Allah and His messengers and say not 'Three' - Cease! (it is better for you! - Allah is only one God. Far is it removed from His transcendent majesty that He should have a son...The Messiah will never scorn to be a slave unto Allah."

Of Jesus Christ The Koran also states:

"And when the son of Mary is quoted as an example, behold! The folk laugh out, and say: Are our gods better, or is he? They raise not the objection save for argument. Nay! but they are a contentious folk. He is nothing but a slave on whom we bestowed favor, and we made him a pattern for the Children of Israel. And had we willed it we would have set among you angels to be viceroys in the earth".

Regarding Christ's death on the Cross, The Koran says:

"That they rejected Faith; That they uttered against Mary a grave false charge; That they said (in boast): We killed Christ Jesus the son of Mary, The Messenger of Allah. But they killed him not, nor crucified him, but so it was made to appear to them, and those who differ therein are full of doubts, with no (certain) knowledge, but only conjunction to follow, for of a surety they killed him not. ... And on the Day of Judgment He (Jesus) will be a witness against them (Christians)." (Koran, 4:156-159)

The Koran even has Jesus Himself saying:

"Jesus son of Mary said: O Children of Israel! Lo! I am the messenger of Allah unto you, confirming that which was (revealed) before me in the Torah, and bringing good tidings of a messenger who cometh after me, whose name is the Praised One."

The above picture is simply further evidence, along with the his receiving the mark of Shiva, organizing "prayer meetings" with occult religious leaders, and allowing the worship of a false god on the altar of the Roman Catholic Church at Assisi, of his interfaith agenda.

This is the man who was picked as "the Man of the Century" by various religious leaders who signed the Evangelicals and Catholics Together document (that claims that Evangelicals and Catholics are preaching the same gospel).

It is important for us to realize that most of America's six million Muslims are not terrorists. A majority, I believe, are peace-loving and decent citizens who love this country. Although we as Bible-believing Christians disagree with many of their religious beliefs and practices, and must not support them, it would be wrong to persecute Muslims for their faith. Rather, we must go out of our way to show them the love of Jesus Christ, hoping they will receive His gift of forgiveness and eternal life.

-Having said this, we must nevertheless be aware of the fact that Islam has historically been a bloody religion. This is partly due to the strong influence of violent secret societies in Islamic culture and the wide acceptance of peripheral religious writings that promise a better place in paradise – including a harem of 72 virgins – for those men who die while taking the lives of "unbelievers." It is also due to Islam's holiest book, The Koran, which is militant in its views toward Christians and Jews.

Consider the following quotes taken directly from The Koran:

p. 2 of introduction (Islamic view of Jews & Christians) "The Koran accuses the Jews of corrupting the Scriptures and the Christians of worshipping Jesus as the son of God, although He had expressly commanded them to worship none but Him."

Surah 5:51 (No friendship with Jews or Christians) "Believers, take neither the Jews nor the Christians for your friends. They are friends with one another. Whoever of you seeks their friendship shall become one of their number. God does not guide the wrongdoers."

Surah 9:73 (Make war on unbelievers) "Prophet, make war on the unbelievers and the hypocrites and deal rigorously with them. Hell shall be their home: an evil fate."

Surah 9:5 (Slay the idolators/unbelievers) "When the sacred months are over slay the idolators wherever you find them. Arrest them, besiege them, and lie in ambush

everywhere for them."

Surah 5:33-34 (Enemies should be slain or crucified) "Those that make war against God (Allah) and His apostle (Muhammad) and spread disorder in the land shall be slain or crucified or have their hands and feet cut off on alternate sides, or be banished from the land."

Surah 47:3-6 (Behead the enemy) "This, because the unbelievers follow falsehood, while the faithful follow the truth from their Lord. Thus God lays down for mankind their rules of conduct. When you meet the unbelievers in the battlefield strike off their heads and, when you have laid them low, bind your captives firmly. Then grant them their freedom or take a ransom from them, until War shall lay down her burdens. Thus shall you do. Had God willed, He could Himself have punished them; [but He has ordained it thus] that He may test you, the one by the other."

Surah 4:99 (Special reward for aggressive martyrs) "He that leaves his home in the cause of God shall find many a refuge in the land and great abundance. He that leaves his dwelling to fight for God and His apostle and is then overtaken by death shall be recompensed by God. Surely God is forgiving and merciful."

Surah 22:57 (Eternal punishment for unbelievers) "Those that have embraced the true Faith and done good works shall enter the gardens of delight; but the unbelievers who have denied Our revelations shall receive an ignominious punishment."

(Source: The Koran, Translated by N. J. Dawood, Penquin Books, London, 1999)

-Many Muslims in the United States have probably never read all of The Koran or, at least, do not take all of its decrees literally. The problem is, if they keep their innermost beliefs to themselves, how do we distinguish those Muslims who accept all of The Koran's teachings from those who do not. If only one in a thousand were willing to kill for their faith we could be in serious trouble. I would not be surprised if there are hundreds, if not thousands, of potential Islamic terrorists in this country at this very moment…not a pleasant thought!

-Our leaders will need great wisdom and discernment to deal with this delicate situation. How does one protect peace-loving Muslims while punishing those who approve of terrorism, if one cannot tell the difference?

(even the most dispicable)

The Catholic churches in Iraq have been given official freedom by Saddam Hussein, though other non-Muslim religions have been hard-pressed by his dictatorship.

This has been achieved by their public support for Saddam’s regime. But is it right to lend church credence to a regime that is so obviously evil? Though we are talking about Catholicism, which is notorious for assimilating any old belief system so long as the RCC flourishes, I must say that I wonder what Protestants would do in a similar position. Would they be less accommodating, or just as collaborative to ensure their survival?

ISLAM & ROME COMING TOGETHER ?

[ One World Religion

One of the puzzles I have always had is how Islamic Fundamentalism could ever link up with the one world religion prophesied for the end times. After all their agenda seems much more interested in making all 'infidels' submit to Islam than in joining up with a global religious system.

So it was with great interest that I read of the meeting on March 11th between President Mohammed Khatami of Iran and the Pope in Rome. Khatami is trying to rid Iran of its terrorist image and bring in a more moderate form of Islam in the country. This is also the desire of the majority of the population, especially the younger generation.

Khatami said that the world had tired of terrorism and that peace had to be based on a 'mutual respect of nations.' He said that he hoped that the 'spirit of Assisi would continue to act as a model for understanding between religions and people.'

This is a reference to the gathering organised by the Pope in Assisi, Italy in 1986 of 130 leaders of the world's major religions to pray for peace. Praying together were snake worshipers, fire worshipers, spiritists, animists, North American witch doctors, Buddhists, Muslims, Hindus as well as various denominations of Christian clergymen. The Pope declared that all were 'praying to the same God.'

As Khatami parted from the Pope, he said, 'The hope is for a final victory of ethics and morals together with peace and reconciliation. May God protect you and please pray for me.' One of the mullahs accompanying Khatami asked the Pope: 'Can I do something?' He then warmly embraced and kissed him.

A coming together of Rome and Islam should not really surprise us since both came out of the corruption of Christianity and both fulfil the definition of antichrist in 1 John 1.18-19. 'They went out from us, but they were not of us: for if they had been of us they would no doubt have continued with us; but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.'

Both became ferocious persecutors of true Christians and denied the only way of finding real peace and reconciliation with God and our fellow human beings, through repentance and faith in the final sufficient atoning sacrifice of the Lord Jesus Christ. It is also significant that Roman Catholicism became the dominant religion of the western half of the Roman Empire and Islam the dominant religion of the eastern half.

On a human level we may certainly see Mr Khatami as an improvement on Khomeini and the clerics who held power after the Islamic Revolution in Iran. But on a spiritual level and with regard to end time prophecies, a coming together of Islam and Roman Catholicism in the name of 'peace' is a powerful force for bringing in the end time religious system (see Revelation 17), which will be the greatest evil this world has ever known.

As the world comes to terms with the events of September 11th, 'religious fundamentalism' is emerging as the main reason being given for the problems of strife and conflict. If we connect some major statements being made by the 'movers and shakers' on the present world scene we find a remarkable coming together of both political and religious leaders. To overcome this problem of 'fundamentalism' the idea is being promoted through government, media and education that there is no absolute truth, no one answer to the problems of humanity. What is needed is for all religions to come together and accept that each has part of the truth and none has all of it.

In his acceptance speech for the Nobel Peace Prize for the UN, Secretary General Kofi Annan said: 'The idea that there is one people in possession of the truth, one answer to the world's ills, or one solution to humanity's needs, has done untold harm throughout history - especially in the last century.' He went on to quote from the world's major religions seeking to show that, as the Hindus are taught: 'Truth is one, the sages give it various names.' He concluded by thanking the Nobel Committee for proclaiming 'that the only negotiable route to global peace and cooperation goes by way of the United Nations'.

Despite being ousted from power in his home country, Mikhail Gorbachev has become a major player on the world political scene, promoting the need for global government to deal with the problem of the environment. He contends that a global institution is needed to deal with this global problem, and if we don't act soon, it will be too late - the world will self-destruct. As part of his push for world government, Gorbachev proposes his Earth Charter, a document for which he has become the chief spokesperson and which he believes will save the planet.

A newsletter produced by Gary Kah, 'Shaping the World Civilisation', shows the spiritual forces operating behind the 'Earth Charter.' Steve Frazer, a researcher who attended the conference of the Earth Charter, was amazed to discover the blatant New Age overtones of the movement. Yoga sessions, Tai Chi, prayers requesting blessings from "sister moon and stars, brothers wind and air, sister water, brother fire, sister earth, our mother who feeds us, and sister death" were all part of the agenda. David Korten, President of Positive Future's Network, seemed to lay the groundwork for a new religion by calling for the world to become a 'new culture' as we awaken to the 'sacred cosmos'. He said, 'We must choose the new story to guide our future. This is a time of passage to a new human era, an evolutionary moment, taking a step toward species maturity.'

The Pope has called a meeting of leaders of all the world's religions in January to pray for peace and to work to overcome armed conflict at what he said was an historic moment for humanity. The Pope said he hoped the January 24 meeting Assisi, Italy, the birthplace of St. Francis, would be particularly helpful to improve relations between Christians and Muslims following the September 11 attacks on the United States. The Pope said he wanted the new Assisi summit in the birthplace of the saint most associated with peace 'to help overcome contrasts and promote authentic peace.' He said it was particularly important for Muslims and Christians to show the world 'that religions must never be allowed to become a cause of conflict, hate and violence.'

The Church of England put a prayer on its official website for All Saints Day, stating that: 'The saints were not those who were perfect. They were parts of God's creation who struggled and often failed and yet managed to raise up our faith in God and in one another. Abraham, Isaac, Joseph, Sarah, Hannah, Joshua, David, Moses, Mary the Mother of Jesus, Buddha and Mohammed and all the prophets of old. They led God's people to God's light.'

Conclusion

The present state of our world should show us that as a result of rejecting and trampling under foot God's laws revealed in the Bible and the one way of salvation offered through the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, the world has come under God's judgment and is heading towards catastrophe. The call from the church to the world should be: 'The time is fulfilled and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent and believe the Gospel' (Mark 1.15).

Instead we find that the world is seeking for answers in New Age mysticism and most of the professing church is seeking alliances with false religions in a vain attempt to create peace, where there is no peace.

As the line taken by Kofi Annan in his speech referred to above becomes the dominant belief of the mainstream culture, it is not just Islamic terrorists who are seen as a threat to world peace. If we believe that the Gospel is the one solution to humanity's needs, we are seen as doing harm to the world community. Even though we renounce violence and preach a message, which speaks of God's love revealed in Jesus, this does not stop us from being considered to be 'trouble makers'. In many ways we are moving into a situation similar to the one in which the early Christians found themselves in the Roman Empire. At that time those who believed in Jesus as Lord and unique Saviour of the human race ran into conflict with the Roman system and were considered to be hostile to the 'Pax Romana' (Roman peace).

The idea that a political movement like the UN can be the only 'route to global peace and cooperation' makes humanity the source of our own salvation. If you analyse most of the New Age alternative beliefs outlined above, you will find that they teach that we can achieve our own salvation by discovering the 'god within' ourselves. As the church makes covenants with other faiths in the quest for peace, it is submitting itself to the gods of these faiths and their belief systems, including the Hindu idea that 'god' is within us. In so doing the God of the Bible takes His leave and abandons what has become a useless religious structure, which no longer has any connection to Him and is in direct conflict with His truth revealed in Messiah Jesus. Inevitably a false religious spirit comes into the vacuum left behind and leads to deception and demonic control.

As in the days of the Roman Empire the true church becomes a rejected, persecuted body, which overcomes 'by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony and they did not love their lives unto the death' (Revelation 12.11). A one world political system emerges, backed by a one world religion which is described as 'Mystery Babylon the Great … drunk with the blood of the saints and the with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus' (Revelation 17.5-6). And if we have read the rest of the book of Revelation and other prophetic passages in the Bible, should we really be surprised at this?

The Pope And Arafat Sign An Agreement

Like a coating of glaze over earthenware are fervent lips with an evil heart. A malicious man disguises himself with his lips, but in his heart he harbors deceit. Though his speech is charming, do not believe him, for seven abominations fill his heart. His malice may be concealed by deception, but his wickedness will be exposed in the assembly. (Proverbs 26:23-26 NIV)

Pope John Paul II and Yassir Arafat recently signed an agreement that stated "unilateral decisions and actions altering the specific character and status of Jerusalem are morally and legally unacceptable." The Israeli government officially expressed its outrage at this agreement, and rightfully so. The words are couched in diplomatic terms, but what they mean is that the Catholic Church and the PLO are insisting that Israel does not have the sovereign prerogative and jurisdiction to make any decisions regarding the fate of Jerusalem. Consider how ludicrous it would be if any other religious group and any other para-government organization would sign an "agreement" insisting that a government does not have the right to govern its own capital. It would be regarded as so ridiculous as to not even merit consideration! But Jerusalem and Israel are a special situation, and the world has lost any semblance of sanity in its dealings with them.

Arafat's spokesman Nabil Abu Rudaineh explained that the agreement means that "Jerusalem... cannot be ruled by Israel alone." The Vatican spokesman Joacqin Navarro-Valls said that the agreement "regulates the presence and activities of the Catholic Church on Palestinian Authority territory." Examine those statements carefully - what the Pope and the PLO are declaring is that Jerusalem is already Palestinian territory. These are two groups that have a long blood-inscribed history of anti-Semitism; in fact, their history has been characterized by nothing but hatred towards the Jews. Now they are officially joining hands to decide what is "morally and legally acceptable" for Israel.

The Jerusalem Post published a picture of Arafat kissing the Pope's ring. Can you think of a more repulsive, foul, repugnant alliance? Two persistent enemies of Israel, enemies of the God of Israel, are conspiring to take control of Jerusalem, presuming to declare what is "morally and legally acceptable" for Israel. And it is not only the Pope who is enamored by Arafat; recently, Boris Yeltsin wept for joy at the sight of Arafat and lovingly called him "my brother." Why has this terrorist, this war criminal who, among other atrocities, has masterminded the slaughter of children in a school yard, suddenly become the world's darling? It is because they share a common passion: hatred for Israel. Though no nation can fully express it yet, the evidence for these clandestine hatreds is readily seen. It is not now politically acceptable for Western nations to overtly express contempt for Israel (although the Arab nations do this regularly). However, we know from numerous Biblical prophecies that there will come a day when the nations will gather together to attack Jerusalem. The Catholic church and the PLO are leading this charge in their mutual lust for Jerusalem, a city of which the God of Israel has said, "I will defend this city and save it, for my sake and for the sake of David my servant." (2 Kings 19:34 NIV)

A statement that the Pope made during his meeting with Arafat illustrates his twisted bias against the Jews. In a bizarre interpretation of Christian history, the Pope explained, after receiving a gift depicting the Nativity from Arafat, "The shepherds who came to Bethlehem were Palestinian, I suppose." I suppose? Any 7 year old would know from Sunday School classes that those men in the fields were Jews, not "Palestinians." There were, of course, no such people as the "Palestinians" at that point in history, nor were there for centuries later. Up until a few decades ago, they were called "Arabs;" the "Palestinian" identity is a relatively recent invention. The Pope is obviously pandering to Arafat by saying these incredibly stupid things, yet the world takes no notice of this blatant intellectual and spiritual dishonesty.

You can be sure that Arafat will do his best to maximize the propaganda effect of the Pope's upcoming visit to Israel. Watch to see if he attempts to exploit the visit by cleverly manipulations, so that the opinion makers and policy makers will further accept his ruse regarding Jerusalem. His stratagem is to lead world opinion to the point of believing that this assertion is self-evident, axiomatic: "Jerusalem does not belong to Israel." Not that he needs much persuasion to do this - the political leaders and the false religious leaders are all too eager to buy into this sleight of mind. The European Union is already explicitly committed to it, the Catholic Church is already explicitly committed to it, the United Nations General Assembly is already explicitly committed to it. All that remains is their execution of the treachery.

Our response and petition:

O God, do not keep silent; be not quiet, O God, be not still. See how your enemies are astir, how your foes rear their heads. With cunning they conspire against your people; they plot against those you cherish. "Come," they say, "let us destroy them as a nation, that the name of Israel be remembered no more." With one mind they plot together; they form an alliance against you--the tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites, of Moab and the Hagrites, Gebal, Ammon and Amalek, Philistia, with the people of Tyre. Even Assyria has joined them to lend strength to the descendants of Lot. Do to them as you did to Midian, as you did to Sisera and Jabin at the river Kishon, who perished at Endor and became like refuse on the ground. Make their nobles like Oreb and Zeeb, all their princes like Zebah and Zalmunna, who said, "Let us take possession of the pasturelands of God." Make them like tumbleweed, O my God, like chaff before the wind. As fire consumes the forest or a flame sets the mountains ablaze, so pursue them with your tempest and terrify them with your storm. Cover their faces with shame so that men will seek your name, O LORD. May they ever be ashamed and dismayed; may they perish in disgrace. Let them know that you, whose name is the LORD-- that you alone are the Most High over all the earth. (Psalm 83 NIV)

Arafat and Vatican Sign Pact

by Brian Knowles

Palestinian Authority chairman Yasser Arafat, an avowed enemy of Israel, signed on February 15, 2000, a pact with the Vatican that would "normalize" relations between the PA and Roman Catholic churches in Jerusalem. This bizarre agreement gives rise to several obvious questions. Why was Israel, of which Jerusalem is the claimed capital, bypassed in this strange agreement? Why should the Palestinian Authority have any involvement with Catholic churches in Jerusalem? Is this agreement not a direct affront to the sovereignty of Israel?

To understand the reason for this agreement between a religious leader and the leader of a non-state, we must first realize that most if not all, of the Catholic churches in question are located in East Jerusalem. Arafat has claimed East Jerusalem as the capital of his as yet undeclared Palestinian State. The Vatican does not recognize Israel’s annexation of East Jerusalem, and has called it "illegal." (Which shows how much weight the Bible carries in the Vatican.)

According to PLO spokesman Nabil Abu Rudaineh, Arafat has been lobbying support for his idea of an undivided Jerusalem within which he controls a Vatican-like sovereign entity. Privately, PA officials concede that Israel would only support this idea if it could retain the Jewish quarter and the Western Wall. Of course Moslems already legally control the Temple Mount.

To date, the Vatican and the international community have generally supported internationalizing the Old City, but both Israel and the PA have rejected this idea.

Palestinian Legislative Council Speaker Ahmed Qurei told The Jerusalem Post that he sees the agreement between the pope and Arafat as recognition by the Catholic Church of Palestinian claims to the city. We would concur with this assessment.

In the now sputtering "Peace Process" – which from the Arab’s viewpoint is not a peace process at all but a war process – Jerusalem will obviously become the major flash point in the months ahead. The Holy City is the prize.

At the moment, the battle for Jerusalem is being fought at diplomatic, propaganda, and political levels. In times to come, it could be fought with the high-tech weapons of modern warfare.

What’s Behind it All?

Behind all of this, we must recognize several facts of reality. For centuries, the Roman Church had in place a "replacement" doctrine that stated that the Church had replaced Israel in the divine economy. Said Pope Pius X (1835-1914), "We cannot prevent the Jews from going to Jerusalem, but we would never sanction it…The Jews have not recognized our Lord; we cannot recognize the Jews."

It is possible that a statement made by Pope John Paul II in 1980 may represent a repudiation of that doctrine. At that time, the pope was addressing Jewish representatives in Mainz. He was speaking of the Jewish-Christian dialogue. "The first aspect of this dialogue," he said, "namely the meeting between the people of God of the old covenant, which has never been revoked by God (cf. Romans 11:29), and the people of God of the new covenant, is at the same time a dialogue within our church between the first and second part of its Bible."

By stating that the Mosaic covenant has never been revoked, John Paul may have been recognizing the ongoing validity of this covenant for the Jewish people, and thereby repudiating their rejection from the divine economy. However, as far as we know, no formal statement to this effect was ever made.

However, if the Vatican has recognized the validity of Israel’s covenant with God, then why would it not also recognize the boundaries of Israel as described in the Covenant documents? God, not the United Nations, set these boundaries.

According to the Bible, Jerusalem, all of the present territory of Israel, and much of the land occupied by adjacent nations, legally belongs to Israel. The land that God gave to Israel encompasses a far larger territory than the global community is currently willing to recognize.

The agreement between Arafat and the Vatican may also have prophetic implications. The day is coming when God says, "I will gather all the nations to Jerusalem to fight against it; the city will be captured, the houses ransacked, and the women raped. Half the city will go into exile but the rest of the people will not be taken from the city" (Zechariah 14:2). Which half of the city is Zechariah speaking of here? It is the Old City that is the target of both Arafat and all of the Muslim nations. It is the Old City in which most of the "sacred" sites reside for Jews, Catholics and Muslims. It is the prize over which wars will be fought.

The Vatican is not on Israel’s side on the issue of Jerusalem. The Vatican supports the Arabs and the community of anti-Semitic nations that seek to see the creation of a Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital. The joint agreement warned Israel, "Unilateral decisions and actions altering the specific character and status of Jerusalem are morally and legally unacceptable." The Vatican would rather do business with the Muslims, than with Israel. Perhaps that is because it believes that the Muslims will turn out to be the eventual winner in the struggle for Jerusalem, and that will work to Rome’s advantage when it comes to the protection of its holy sites.

The struggle for Jerusalem is at base a religious struggle. It is a battle between three of the world’s great religions to control the city that has long been viewed as "holy" by all three of them. In Biblical terms, the city belongs to Israel. In political terms, it’s an international city. In PLO terms, it’s the capital of a Palestinian state. In Moslem terms, it’s the site of sacred events. As far as Israel is concerned, it’s their capital.

At this point in history, it is important to watch Jerusalem very closely. It is a city of destiny, and one over which much international turmoil is yet to take place. We can only say, with Scripture, "Pray for the peace of Jerusalem" (Psalm 122:6).

the pope and arafats men meet   on the temple mount

On the morning of 26th March, 2000, the Temple Mount and Land of Israel

Faithful Movement demonstrated against the meeting between the Pope and the

agents of the terrorist, Yasser Arafat, on the holy Temple Mount. The

demonstration was held on the lookout position on the steps leading down

from the Jewish Quarter to the Western Wall plaza. From there the Temple

Mount and the location of the temple are clearly seen. The demonstration

took place while the Pope was on the Temple Mount.

No Israeli officials were on the Temple Mount at this time even though the

sovereignty of this place is in the hands of Israel and despite the fact

that this mountain is the site of the First and Second Temples and is the

focus of the heart and soul of the Jewish People and is the place towards

which all the prayers of the Jewish People are directed. Three times a day,

Jewish prayers from all over the world are directed towards this place with

the continual prayer to G—d that the temple be rebuilt and that Mashiach

ben David will come to it. We could not accept this terrible situation and

abomination of such a meeting, especially after the Pope signed a covenant

with the terrorist, Arafat, in the Vatican before coming for his visit to

Israel and after he declared in a speech during his visit in the Hebron

area that the so-called "Palestinians" have aright to a homeland in the

land of Israel.

The message of the demonstration was firstly directed at the Israeli

Government to overcome their weakness and not to allow the meeting to take

place which implied the Popes recognition of "Palestinian" control of the

Temple Mount and ignored Israeli sovereignty and G—d's covenant giving

Israel the Temple Mount, Jerusalem and all the land of Israel to be His

house and to dwell together with Israel. Instead of this, the Israeli

Government preferred to meet and welcome the Pope at the Western Wall which

for hundreds of years was called the Wailing Wall because it represents the

exile, destruction and the great desire of the Jewish People to return to

the Temple Mount and to rebuild the temple. Now, after G—d gave the Temple

Mount back to Israel in a godly heroic war in 1967, the Western Wall has

finished its task and Israel should rebuild the temple on the location of

the First and Second Temple on the Temple Mount. We know that the G—d of

Israel and the Universe has not accepted a meeting with the terrorists on

the Temple Mount nor the meeting at the Western Wall. The Pope should only

meet the real owners of this place on the Temple Mount.

Secondly the message was directed to the Pope himself saying that such a

meeting is evil in the eyes of G—d and a revolt against His Word and the

covenant that He made with Israel. We said that he knows very well that

this holy mountain was dedicated by G—d to be the place of His house and

not to continue the long foreign Arab occupation of the hill of G—d where

they built their pagan shrines and continue their pagan worship. We told

him that he cannot behave according to political interests but to listen to

the Word of G—d that was written to all the nations. We directed him to

Word of G—d in all the prophets and in the Torah where G—d commanded Israel

to dedicate this mountain just for His house and not allow any foreign

worship to take place there. We told him that the rebuilding of the temple

is a key event, not only in the life of Israel, but in the life of all

nations and the Word of G—d cannot be ignored. We directed him to the Word

of G—d in Isaiah 2:2-5 where G—d expressed His own deep desire to again see

His house rebuilt by Israel on the holy hill which He dedicated for this

and that he cannot ignore this clear Word of G—d which was given to Israel

and to all the nations as well when He spoke about the end-times, the time

in which we are now living. "And it shall come to pass in the last days,

that the mountain of the Lord's house shall be established on the top of

the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall

flow to it. And many people shall go and say, Come, and let us go up to the

mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach

us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths; for from Zion shall go forth

Torah, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. And he shall judge among

the nations, and shall decide for many people; and they shall beat their

swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; nation shall

not lift up sword against nation, nor shall they learn war any more. O

house of Jacob, come, and let us walk in the light of the Lord." (Is 2:2-5)

The most important commandment that G—d gave Israel to fulfill when they

came to the Promised Land was to build His temple, especially at this great

time of redemption in which Israel is now living exactly as G—d pronounced

it to Israel in Exodus: "And let them make me a sanctuary; that I may dwell

among them." (Ex 25:8). The Pope should know this Word of G—d and when he

met the agents of the terrorist, Arafat, on the Temple Mount he committed

evil in the eyes of G—d.

Then our message to the Pope, and at the same time to all the nations, was

that Jerusalem was given to Israel to be the eternal capital of the chosen

nation of Israel and that G—d returned it to Israel in a miraculous war in

1967 to again be its eternal capital after 1900 year of destruction and a

deep desire to return to the city which, for thousands of years since King

David built it and made it the capital of Israel, was the heart, soul and

focus of Israel. We directed him to the many Scriptures where G—d gave

Jerusalem to Israel with such love like in Isaiah: "For Zion's sake will I

not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest, until her

righteousness goes forth like radiance, and her salvation like a burning

torch. And the nations shall see your righteousness, and all kings your

glory; and you shall be called by a new name, which the mouth of the Lord

shall express. You shall also be a crown of glory in the hand of the Lord,

and a royal diadem in the hand of your God. You shall no more be termed

Forsaken; nor shall your land any more be termed Desolate; but you shall be

called Hephzibah, and your land Beulah; for the Lord delights in you, and

your land shall be married. For as a young man marries a virgin, so shall

your sons marry you; and as the bridegroom rejoices over the bride, so

shall your God rejoice over you. I have set watchmen upon your walls, O

Jerusalem, who shall never hold their peace day nor night; you who make

mention of the Lord, take no rest. And give him no rest, until he

establish, and until he makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth. The Lord has

sworn by his right hand, and by the arm of his strength, Surely I will no

more give your grain to be food for your enemies; and the sons of the

stranger shall not drink your wine, for which you have labored; But those

who have gathered it shall eat it and praise the Lord; and those who have

brought it together shall drink it in the courts of my sanctuary. Go

through, go through the gates; prepare the way of the people; build up,

build up the highway; gather out the stones; lift up a standard for the

people. Behold, the Lord has proclaimed to the end of the world, Say to the

daughter of Zion, Behold, your salvation comes; behold, his reward is with

him, and his wages before him. And they shall call them, The holy people,

The redeemed of the Lord; and you shall be called, Sought out, A city not

forsaken." (Is 62:1-12)

Our message to the Pope was very clear that this covenant with the

terrorist, Arafat, to make Jerusalem and international city or recognize

so-called "Palestinian' sovereignty over the city will not and cannot stand

as G—d will destroy it. We warned him of the judgment of G—d as He stated

it so clearly in the ears of all the nations in Zechariah: "The burden of

the word of the Lord concerning Israel, says the Lord, who stretches out

the heavens, and lays the foundation of the earth, and forms the spirit of

man inside him. Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of reeling to all the

people around, and it shall also be against Judah in the siege against

Jerusalem. And on that day I will make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all

the peoples; all who burden themselves with it shall be grievously hurt.

And all the peoples of the earth shall be gathered together against it. On

that day, says the Lord, I will strike every horse with panic, and its

rider with madness; and I will open my eyes upon the house of Judah, and

will strike every horse of the nations with blindness. And the governors of

Judah shall say in their heart, The inhabitants of Jerusalem are my

strength through the Lord of hosts their God. On that day I will make the

governors of Judah like a hearth of fire among trees, and like a torch of

fire in a sheaf; and they shall devour all the peoples around, on the right

hand and on the left; and Jerusalem shall be inhabited again in her own

place, in Jerusalem. And the Lord shall save the tents of Judah first, that

the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of

Jerusalem do not magnify themselves against Judah. On that day shall the

Lord defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and he who is feeble among them

shall be as David on that day; and the house of David shall be like a

divine being, like the angel of the Lord before them. And it shall come to

pass on that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come

against Jerusalem. And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the

inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplication; and they

shall look towards me, regarding those whom the nations have pierced; and

they shall mourn for him, as one mourns for an only son, and shall be in

bitterness over him, as one who is in bitterness for his firstborn."

(Zech 12:1-10)

Our message to the Pope about the land of Israel was very clear that no

agreement that he will make with the Arab enemies of Israel concerning the

land of Israel or, as he called it, the homeland for the so-called

"Palestinians" in the land of Israel can work and will not stand as G—d

will not allow it. We directed the Pope to the Word of G—d in Genesis when

He made the covenant with Abraham and his seed, Israel: "And it came to

pass, that, when the sun went down, and it was dark, behold a smoking

furnace, and a burning torch that passed between those pieces. In the same

day the Lord made a covenant with Abram, saying, To your seed have I given

this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the river Euphrates;

The Kenites, and the Kenazites, and the Kadmonites, And the Hittites, and

the Perizzites, and the Raphaim, And the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and

the Girgashites, and the Jebusites." (Gen 15:17-21) "And I will establish my

covenant between me and you and your seed after you in their generations

for an everlasting covenant, to be a God to you, and to your seed after

you. And I will give to you, and to your seed after you, the land where you

are a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and

I will be their God. And God said to Abraham, You shall keep my covenant

therefore, you, and your seed after you in their generations." (Gen 17:7-9)

We called on the Pope to read the Word of G—d in Ezekiel where He speaks to

Israel and all the nations with such love and devotion about the redemption

of the people of Israel and the rebirth of the nation and the State in the

end-times, the times in which we are now living, and He will bring them

back to the land and rebuild and cause it to bloom and He will show them

that His covenant and promises are eternal and He is faithful to His

beloved people, Israel. "For I will take you from among the nations, and

gather you from all countries, and will bring you into your own land. ...

And the desolate land shall be tilled, instead of being the desolation that

was in the sight of all who passed by. And they shall say, This land that

was desolate has become like the garden of Eden; and the waste and desolate

and ruined cities have become fortified, and are inhabited. Then the

nations that are left around you shall know that I, the Lord, have rebuilt

the ruined places, and have replanted that which was desolate; I, the Lord,

have spoken it, and I will do it. Thus says the Lord God: This also I will

let the house of Israel, ask me to do for them; I will increase their men

like a flock. Like the flock of sacrifices, like the flock of Jerusalem in

her solemn feasts, shall the ruined cities be filled with flocks of men;

and they shall know that I am the Lord. The hand of the Lord was upon me,

and carried me out in the wind of the Lord, and set me down in the midst of

the valley which was full of bones, And he led me around among them; and,

behold, there were very many in the open valley; and, behold, they were

very dry. And he said to me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I

answered, O Lord God, you know. And he said to me, Prophesy over these

bones, and say to them, O you dry bones, hear the word of the Lord. Thus

says the Lord God to these bones; Behold, I will cause breath to enter into

you, and you shall live; And I will lay sinews upon you, and will bring up

flesh upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and you

shall live; and you shall know that I am the Lord. And I prophesied as I

was commanded; and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold a

shaking, and the bones came together, bone to its bone. And as I beheld,

behold, the sinews and the flesh came up upon them, and the skin covered

them above; but there was no breath in them. And he said to me, Prophesy to

the breath, prophesy, son of man, and say to the breath, Thus says the Lord

God: Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon these slain, that

they may live. And I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came

into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, a very large army.

Then he said to me, son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel;

behold, they say, Our bones are dried, and our hope is lost; we are clean

cut off. Therefore prophesy and say to them, Thus says the Lord God:

Behold, O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out

of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel. And you shall know

that I am the Lord, when I have opened your graves, O my people, and

brought you up from your graves, And I shall put my spirit in you, and you

shall live, and I shall place you in your own land; then shall you know

that I, the Lord, have spoken it, and performed it, says the Lord."

(Ez 36:24; 36:34-37:14)

This demonstration was a clear word of G—d to Israel, the Pope and all the

nations. It was covered by the Israeli and international media who were

eager to hear this clear message, the real message of the G—d and people of

Israel. It ended with the reading and praying of the Word of G—d in Psalm

79 and blowing a shofar which was heard very clearly all over the Temple

Mount, the hill of G—d and was directed against all the enemies of Israel

who today want to again steal the Temple Mount, Jerusalem and the promised

land from Israel. "A Psalm of Asaph. O God, nations have come into your

inheritance; your holy temple have they defiled; they have laid Jerusalem

on heaps. The dead bodies of your servants have they given to be food to

the birds of the sky, the flesh of your pious ones to the beasts of the

earth. Their blood have they shed like water around Jerusalem; and there

was none to bury them. We have become a taunt to our neighbors, a scorn

and derision to those who are around us. How long, Lord? Will you be angry

for ever? Shall your jealousy burn like fire? Pour out your wrath on the

nations that have not known you, and on the kingdoms that have not called

upon your name. For they have devoured Jacob, and laid waste his dwelling

place. O do not remember against us our former iniquities; let your tender

mercies speedily come to meet us; for we are brought very low. Help us, O

God of our salvation, for the glory of your name; and save us, and forgive

our sins, for your name's sake. Why should the nations say, Where is their

God? Let the revenging of the blood of your servants which is shed be made

manifest among the nations, and before our eyes. Let the groans of the

prisoner come before you; according to the greatness of your power preserve

those who are appointed to die; And render to our neighbors sevenfold into

their bosom their insult, with which they have insulted you, O Lord. So we

your people and sheep of your pasture will give you thanks for ever; we

will tell your praise to all generations." (Psalm 79)
