Butterfly Tales

THIS section of my website is devoted to first-hand narrations about butterflies. These may be accounts of encounters in the bush with rare or not-so-rare species, descriptions of the life history or other aspects of the biology of butterflies, and other writings on these delicate and beautiful insects.
     Simon Chan Kee Mun, who lives in Singapore, contributed the first article to this new section. Please read his “From the Diary of a Heartbroken Surrogate Father”. He has now followed that up with an article on the Rajah Brooke’s Birdwing ~ “Malaysia’s Very Own King of Butterflies”.
     I have included two of my own articles, and I will be adding to these when I find the time to input them into my computer and to scan the relevant colour slides for illustration.

     The Butterfly Life History section shows photographs of the various stages in the growth or development of butterflies. Please check it out when you have the time.
