Latin name: Melanitis leda leda. Wingspan: about 78cm. Range: tropical Africa, India and Burma (Myanmar) to Australia and the Bismarck islands. Habitat: forest undergrowth and scrubland. Food plants: rice (possibly bamboo and sugar cane). |
