The caterpillars of the Plain Tiger
tend to hide under the Calotropis leaves when they sense movement
around them. I photographed this caterpillar (a later instar)
after tilting up the leaf under which it was hiding. It was about 4cm
(about 1.5 inches) long after about five to six days of feeding almost non-stop.
