The newly emerged Common Rose (Pachliopta aristolochiae asteris) climbs higher up
the twig or branch supporting the pupal case, like
two other papilionids that I have observed, the Lime Butterfly (Papilio demoleus
malayanus) and the Common Mime (Chilasa clytia clytia).
