Some butterfly and
moth caterpillars

LIKE the adult butterflies, caterpillars have a wide variety of colour patterns. They are just as interesting to watch as the adult butterflies, especially in the context of their life history. I have put together here some caterpillars that I had been unable to breed out to document their life history. I wish to thank Mohd Fairus Jalil for identifying some of the papilionid species. I have included some moth caterpillars to show the variety in form and colour of the larval stages of Lepidopterans. If you can identify any of the unnamed species, I would be happy to hear from you.
