We had to write this in my eleventh grade Honors English class. I like mine, and I want to share it with you. (I left it the way I wrote it, so some of it isn't the same now. ie. age, career obj., where I want to live.)
"Don't judge a book by its cover." This is a phrase often heard, and it is true. If you were to look at someone else, an idea about that person would pop into your head, but that image would probably be wrong. To know someone, one must look on the inside, so here is a glimpse of me.
I am seventeen years old, and I don't like speaking in front of a large group of people-unless I know what I am talking about. I hate waking up early, I believe politicians are insane, I am against abortion, and I don't like people who put up a front. I like tacos, chicken and rice; ice cream is my comfort food. I could definitely live without Sonic hamburgers, cokes, coffee, tea, and deer meat.
I like watching fireworks on the Fourth of July, playing with my cat-Cocoa, surfing Kiwibox.com, spending time with my five-year-old cousin, and watching football. I am a soap opera fanatic. I tape Passions and Days of Our Lives everyday, and watch them when I get time.
I believe that a person makes his or her own destiny, and I like watching lightning during a thunderstorm. When I am not at school, I am usually working on the yearbook or talking on the phone or instant messenger. I love to draw and paint, and I like to relax by watching a Julia Roberts movie with a cup of hot cocoa in hand (loaded with marshmallows).
I love winter; therefore, after I graduate from college, I hope to be a journalist or a medical laboratory technician living in a state in the New England area, probably Massachusetts, because I like its name.
When I am old, gray, and wrinkled, I want to know that I have helped many people. If anyone ever asks, "What kind of person was she?" I want the person that answers to say that I was hardworking, responsible, caring, creative, and sometimes quite stubborn.
