Wages... what you're supposed to be paid.

What are wages and how are they paid?

As a full time employee you are to be paid the minimum weekly wage for your grade. And will be calculated to the nearest 10 cents.

eg. $599.99 becomes $600.00

As a part time employee you are to be paid at an hourly rate. The hourly rate can be found by deviding the minimum weekly wage for your grade, by thirty eight(38).

As a casual employee you are to be paid at an hourly rate + 20%. The hourly rate can be found by deviding the minimum weekly wage for your grade, by thirty eight(38). You are also to be paid 1/12th of your ordinary pay as an annual holiday entitlement.

What is the Award Rate for my job?

The wage rate is the minnimum a full time employee can be paid for a 38 hour week. The rates, before tax, are:

GRADE 1 - $455.30

GRADE 2 - $472.30

GRADE 3 - $497.90

GRADE 4 - $516.60

GRADE 5 - $551.00

GRADE 6 - $591.60

GRADE 7 - $612.90
