Journey to Somewhere

I'm on a journey to somewhere
And I'll thank you for sharing the ride
But the longer I travel the clearer it seems
My destination is somewhere inside
And sometimes I can't find the exits
And the tolls always seem too high
There are no rest stops on the road of life
So I'll keep moving
And enjoying the ride
I have a map but the lines are all circles
And no words to show where the road ends
But the point of the map is direction
Best comes from your circle of friends
I thank my love for refueling
My spirit when it's getting low
A smile and a touch when the going gets rough
Tell me I'm on the right road
And sometimes I can't find the exits
And the tolls always seem too high
There are no rest stops on the road of life
So I'll keep moving
And enjoying the ride
At every fork in the road
We have a choice to make
And everything that follows
Depends on the path we take
When the time comes to shut off the engine
And the wheels will no longer turn
I hope that I find the road in my mind
Is one where few bridges were burned
And sometimes I can't find the exits
And the tolls always seem too high
There are no rest stops on the road of life
So I'll keep moving
And enjoying the ride
I'm on a journey to somewhere
Thank you for sharing the ride
