Q. What did you think of the Reunion Special?
A. I don’t believe to have learned anything new by watching the Reunion Special. As I was watching the cuts, in certain scenes, and during some of the women’s comments, I could see much of what really transpired was edited out.
Q. Any special scene stands out in your mind?
A. One thing that stands out in my mind is how exceptional the women behaved on this series. Of course, there is always going to be one or two exceptions, but I am speaking of the vast majority.
Q. Give me your opinion of Lee Ann’s comments.
A. Lee Ann was on the defensive most of the time, but she did a fairly good job of appearing at ease from her experience, even if that was not the case. Her sarcastic statement, in reference to the color of her dress during her last rose ceremony, leads me to believe she still feels hidden resentment toward the women. I believe she will always blame others for her misfortunes.
Q. Let’s talk about both finalists, beginning with Kelly Joe.
A. Bob likes Kelly Joe’s bubbly personality, and her easygoing manner, but there is much more involved, in any long-term relationship than those types of superficialities. They may have fun together, but their age difference would be noticeable, in many subtle ways, once their relationship moved to another level. Last, but not least, I honestly do not believe Bob would enjoy, in the long run, not being the sole center of attention in social gatherings, as would happen if he chose Kelly Joe. She will eventually mature to the point of wanting a family and a dedicated stay home husband and father to their children, something Bob will probably never develop into, at least not in the near future.
Q. What about Estella?
A. I believe the editors have not been kind to Estella, and she is much more mature, fun-loving, and humorous than she is being portrayed on the show.
Bob and Estella have much more in common than people believe. Just because the editors emphasized a couple of scenes where she became emotional, this does not mean she behaves this way 24/7.
Moving to the practical side, both Estella and Bob are involved in the same line of business, and she could also be an asset to him in the future. They also appear to be at ease with each other, when they are together, therefore; I feel Bob identifies more with her than with Kelly.
Estella is not a “party animal” like Bob, and she will eventually become tired of Bob’s inclination to live his life inside a group setting, instead of dedicating more intimate quality time to their relationship. I somehow feel this was probably one of the leading causes of his divorce. Of course I am guessing here, but I do not believe to be too far off.
Q. All right, A.T. give me a prediction.
A. I may be wrong, this time around, since I already said Bob is not in love with either one, and I can not rely too much on facial expressions and body language while watching this particular series. I will also have a better opinion after watching both women meet Bob’s parents, especially his mother. The problem is next week is also the finale, and I will not be able to retract this week’s prediction, but I am willing to do a “Hail Mary guess.”
His final decision is pretty much a tossup, but I will lean more towards Bob choosing Estella over Kelly Joe. I do not believe he will propose but, if he does, it will be more for the show’s benefit than anything else. Whomever he chooses, I am fairly certain their relationship will not withstand the test of time.
