Q. Two episodes in a row! What is your opinion on how David is handling all this?
A. I am beginning to like this series. I know some viewers might not enjoy seeing David as the lead character, nevertheless, I believe he is a breath of fresh air and is actually doing a pretty good job, in my opinion.
Q. Sometimes he seems to be out of words.
A. One thing I can say about David he is honestly trying to find someone he can relate to, without trying to take advantage of his position.
Logically, we will begin to see more intimate scenes, in the near future, but I do not believe he will sneak away and play the same game with all of them. It is easy for anyone watching the show to believe he is in a stress-free situation, but that is not the case. It is difficult trying to keep from saying something that shouldn’t be said, while entertaining a group of foreign women you have just met. For someone completely out of his environment, as he is, I believe David is doing a great job.
Q. What about the women he sent home?
A. I agreed with most of his decisions over who was sent home during these past two episodes. Of the ladies whom were sent home, the only one I liked was Jerusha, because she appeared to be lively, intelligent, and with a pleasant personality. However, I realized she did not have much in common with David.
I also thought Tereza was one woman who would have been adventurous and romantic enough to follow our cowboy back to the U.S., but she dug her own grave, as the saying goes, by not using common sense. She was being too inquisitive and also used vulgarity during the group date; I feel this lead David to lose interest in her. I believe he is looking for someone with a certain amount of what I will call “natural elegance.” Several of the ladies who stayed, I feel, are also lacking in this department, but believe they will not make it to the end as David gets to know them better.
Q. Any favorites emerging?
A. David appears to be impressed with Petra, Linda, and perhaps Kristina. It is too soon to tell if he actually “clicks” with any of them.
Q. What about the rest?
A. In my opinion, he is only physically attracted to Cat, Lina, Anique, and perhaps Giada, but does not share much in common with them, on a personal level.
As I mentioned before, it is difficult for him to find common ground when dealing with most of these women. He has kept some, like Olinda and Allessia, whose energy and good sense of humor keep the groups lively. I do not believe either of these last two women will stay all the way to the end but, for the time being, David finds them amusing.
We still have to see what new twists this series has to offer down the road. I can not believe it will end the same as the first series did, since that would be too obvious. Who knows, maybe David is more than what we believe him to be.

A. I somehow have the feeling Bob will surprise us with his choices of whom to send home.
