Q. First, give me your impressions of the women that did not receive a rose.
A. It did not really surprise me to see who Bob sent home. There were a couple of them whom I liked, especially Jen from California, but apparently Bob did not click with her on their date.
Q. Things are getting “steamy” on the show.
A. I believe our Bob is going for the record! I find it humorous, when I first learned Bob was going to be the next Bachelor, I voiced my concern whether he could be seen as a romantic lead by the women, and not just someone with a good sense of humor. Boy, talking about being wrong…….. Seriously now, this is one of those instances where it is impossible to win. If Bob behaved like a comedian, one group would probably say he was not taking the situation seriously and was auditioning for his own comedy show. Now that he has already kissed several of the women on the first week, the second group will say Aaron’s behavior, in B-2, pales in comparison to the record Bob will have before this series is over.
Personally, I believe the main character, in these shows, constantly walks a fine line between being seen as too promiscuous or too boring. Judging from what I have seen so far, I honestly do not believe Bob is going to be boring. I just hope he does not overdo his romantic role and loose the support of some of the viewers.
On a positive note, I believe he is doing the right thing in trying to spend as much one on one time with the women as possible, while trying to get to know them on a more personal level. Don’t laugh Wendy, I did not mean it in THAT context.
Q. What did you think about the surprise rose ceremony?
A. I personally did not like the idea. I feel it is too soon to single out five women and have Bob send one home. I know it is part of the show’s new facelift, but it would have been very disappointing if Bob would have been interested in getting to know those five better.
Q. All right, let us concentrate on the women. Who do you believe are the favorites?
A. It is too soon to say which ones are going to be a part of Bob’s elite group. Meredith, Brooke and Estella appear to be headed in that direction, but I need to see Bob interacting with them a while longer in order to see if there is any real chemistry between them.
Q. Any surprises in reference to the official rose ceremony?
A. I must admit it surprised me to see Bob offering a rose to Antoinette and Jenny, since I do not believe Bob has much in common with them. Still, they may surprise us and go far, since it is really too soon to tell.
Q. A.T., don’t play it safe and tell me which ones you believe will go to the end.
A. Even though Bob presently wants to keep Misty, Maria, Lee Anne, and Kerin, I feel they will not make it to the end.
I am still not very sure about Kelly. Bob enjoys her company, and she is very “friendly” towards him, but I do not believe that will be enough to make him develop feelings for her.
Q. We saw some tension between the women in next week’s episode. Any comments?
A. Lee Anne did not appear to have any problems being “aggressive” in last night’s episode. I feel she will completely loose her shyness beginning next week. Do not get me wrong, I believe she is a nice person, but the situation they are placed in, for several weeks, can easily make anyone become tense and loose their composure.
