Sonogram Pictures!
IT'S A GIRL!!!

Presenting:
The Feistiest Baby You Ever Did Meet.
(And the cutest, if I may say so.)

6 months: Okay, at first I thought this was the most amazing thing I'd ever seen.  But...

6 months: Then I got to see the whole arm!  And that was pretty fascinating.

6 months: But right after revealing (several times) to us that she is definitely a "she", she mooned us repeatedly.  And showed mommy what's been shoved under her ribcage.  A cute little pair of feet.

6 months: Baby girl then demonstrated her ability to pucker her lips, stick out her tongue, pucker again and give kisses...right after she finished a round of hiccups!

6 months: And then, after a nearly two-hour sonogram, baby girl yawned and decided it was nap time.  Mommy cried happy tears.  And cried and cried and cried some more happy tears.
Baby girl took a 15 minute nap before resuming activity with Rib Cage Tae Bo.

17 weeks: Awwh, a peaceful sleeping baby, who immediately reveals that she is very likely a she after all.

17 weeks: Baby wakes up pretty quickly after we annoy her with the transducer.  She protests here by turning her head away from us and getting into a headstand position...

17 weeks: During all the wriggling around, baby turns her face upward and her spine toward us.  She's doing the twist in there!  But she isn't done yet...

17 weeks: Baby contortionist balances on her head and ::THUMP:: kicks mommy's tummy as hard as she can.  See her determined little arm sticking straight up in line with her body?  The white marks at her hip are her fisted fingers.  Heh.  She has my attitude already...

Uh oh. LOL

Baby still looks like daddy.  I cried last night watching Mike sleep.  He had his head turned to the side and I had the baby's picture on my nightstand.  I was just so fascinated with how much they look alike already...

(Baby, between sugar cookie induced temper tantrums of arm throwing and ferocious leg kicking.  Baby was not amused with that pokey sono doppler poking around mommy's tummy...and let the sono tech know it by throwing a fit.  I, personally, found it cute.  And sort of amazing. )

14 weeks:  Oh my GOD this is the most beautiful, wondrous,  precious, amazing little miracle I have ever seen in my entire life!  I am blessed, I am SO profoundly blessed.  Look at that nose!  Those lips!  That sweet precious face!

(Baby's gonna have daddy's ears.  I can't believe how strange this is, how clear.  Baby already looks like daddy...has his profile.  Unbelievable.  My little miracle, my precious baby.  Okay, now I'm sobbing like a dork again...)

14 weeks: Okay, it's official.  I've never been this happy in my entire life...not even for a split second!  See baby's ear?  Hehe.  Hope she (they think) didn't learn any new words yet...

7w 0d: First picture shows baby in perfect little circle (sono tech says this is a really good thing, I have no clue).  Sono tech also mentions the white around the circle, which is also supposedly a very good sign.  Baby measures exactly 7 weeks to the day, which comforts me...but I want to see baby's heart beating!

7w 0d: The second picture here is baby (left, in circle) and the waves to the right are baby's heartbeat waves!  I watched baby's little heart beating while the rate was measured.  Turns out to be 133.3 beats per minute!

5w 0d: This is a very early sonogram (not done with the world's greatest equipment) but it is major peace of mind for Mommy.  Baby is in the right place and I was able to see the beginnings of fetal heart movement!  Baby is about 1/3 of an inch, a wee little bean.  Mommy and Daddy are hoping that there will be a sonogram on Friday, March 6.  By then, Bean will be much larger (in embryonic terms, anyway) and we should be able to see the fetal heartbeat clearly.
